Functionally, these are very good bulbs. I bought them to replace the old incandescent backup light bulbs. A mockup test showed that they are *very* bright.They come with 3 grey aluminum cooling rings near their steel base, which is a good idea. This also provides a good finger grip, without the need to touch the LEDs during insertion and damaging them.Unfortunately, the bottom ring prevented insertion of the bulb all the way into the socket and locking it. I used a small bench sander with a 1" belt to grind the bottom cooling ring almost completely away. See Before and After photos. The bulbs now fit into the socket and lock securely (second photo).Alternatively, I could have relieved the top of the socket with a rotary grinding tool. But if something goes wrong, a bulb is easier to replace than a vehicle part like this socket.Everything is installed and functional now. If you are buying these single-pole bulbs for a Chevy Astro, you may need to make a modification of this kind to have them fit.

I have a 56 Plymouth Belvedere and I can't believe how bright and red these are...Regular bulbs don't compare.

I added these to an Ariens 1028 snowblower and they have held up for ~ 2 hours. Brighter than stock halogen bulb. Great when using at full throttle. Noticeable flicker when idling. However, I'm very satisfied.

I bought these to replace the headlights on my mower. The original incandescent bulbs were of standard wattage and barely illuminated above the light from the moon.The new LED lights are bright enough that I could continue mowing after dark if necessary.If you have an older vehicle that uses 1156 back up lights, these will be a major improvement over OEM. If you're out in the country or in any area with inadequate lighting, these will definitely let you see what you're backing into.

On some sockets, the LED will not insert fully to lock into place- the flange at the top of the LED hits the top of the socket first. I had to change the sockets to make them fit. Not all, however, sockets on newer model cars (60's and 70's) tend to work OK.Much brighter than the competition- I have checked out 6 or 7 different brands and this actually delivered, whereas the others were no brighter than the factory 1157s.

Used 3 times and one bulb has quit working. Update. Company sent replacements. Awesome customer service.

Fit correctly, nice bright light, seem well made. Have not had them on a lot but seem like a good product.
