Fixed problem

Black reed switch works correctly.
Was concerned after reading reviews that the mixed color on this item might affect its switch orientation (normally open vs normally closed). I did not have any problem along that line. My rig is a 2007 Navion IQ (sprinter RV) and had a black set door switch that was becoming unpredictable. I replaced the switch unit using this product and it immediately corrected the problem. I did test the magnet unit as well (the white part) and the new switch worked with either the black (original) or the white (new) magnet. Part was delivered quickly and was easy to install.

It worked!
We were stranded at an RV campground after having placed a "special" stone on the bottom step the day before. Unbeknownst to anyone, it broke/dislodged the switch. Husband got under the steps and managed to force them in about halfway til we reached our destination where we had mailed this replacement. I was sure the problem was more than just this switch, but I was wrong - it worked!

Not need it
Bought it during the troubleshooting process. Found out the ones on my RV. We’re still operative. Still, I would recommend to others.

Nice size
They were a nice size but the polarity was reversed from what I needed. Steps opened when I closed the door and closed when I opened the door.

Did not work.
Install switch was no good, don't buy I think this stuff is just a bunch of junk.
