This works well in the feeder that the chickadees and junkos like to visit, as well as finches. It's a big hit with them.

Great bird seed, just wish the price would come down some as it disappears pretty fast. I like the lack of corn in this mix which I find attracts mice, rats, crows and squirrels. Also this seed sprouts easily if wet but they overcharge for blends that are sterile. I suggest spraying a pre-emergent on the ground in the fall and spring to eliminate growing sprouted bird seed around feeders, remember to water the pre-emergent into the soil well. Amazon has expanded and are now too pricey for many items I used to buy here, I am ordering more from Walmart these days after price shopping. I have been a Prime member for a least 10 years but will drop Prime now that Walmart has ramped up their online business and prices often beat including shipping. I have spent thousands of dollars here, but for me free Prime movies or music don't justify Amazon's drift toward wildly out of line prices for groceries and basics.

Our bird feeders are packed with beautiful and happy birds. From woodpeckers to cardinals, bird watching is a joy with food that they love.

Luckily, my bag (the second one) arrived with no damage. First delivery was canceled due to damage during shipping. The plastic bag is fairly heavy duty, but they just throw it in a box and ship it so it's no wonder some get damaged during shipping. The birds seem to be eating it, however, this feed is very dirty. It's full of sticks and stems and chunks of I don't know what it is (see pic below). I just randomly picked out this trash from the top portion of the bag. I hope this won't be a problem...And, like others have said, this 40-lb bag is hard to store and keep fresh. Probably going to need to purchase some kind of container to store it in. I'll have to update this review after I see how my birds like it. UPDATE / 4 13 2018: Well, the birds seem to be eating this stuff up just as good as any seed I have had, so no complaints there. Still, I would like to see it a little cleaner. Lots of empty husks in it with the sticks and stems and whatever else.

Very pleased with the quality of this bird seed. Glad to find some #20lbs and pretty good price. I have a little 7 yr old neighbor that I will be sharing this with. I've ordered this before and it has brought a lot more song birds to the garden.

Local birds in MD seem to enjoy this stuff, and the squirrels happily eat all that drops from the feeder. The feeders are suspended about 20 feet off the ground, so the squirrels dont get to eat from the source. A little hard to store, and the bag was split beginning to leak on arrival.

Good product for the money. Wish it had a handle for carrying.

I cannot comment on the "flavor" since I am not a bird. But the birds eat it and seem to enjoy it. Sadly, so do the squirrels. :)
