This product works well at repolarizing nerves. It also works well as an acupuncture pen in place of the needles.I have noticed that sometimes the current gets distributed to the pen's body, but it's not a bother, really.Easy to operate and it features an adjustable power setting from 0 to 9, with 1 being the lowest intensity and 9 the highest. Get it in just the right spot and feel it work your levator scapula muscles enough to raise your shoulders.It can somewhat function similar to a tens machine or provide electrical stimulation to limited areas.It is not necessary to use the small jar of included coupling gel, and this device will work without it just as readily. Should you use all the included get, you can always whip some up at home with a few tablespoons of KY personal lubricant and a drop of bleach.Uses a single AA battery, and the battery will last surprisingly longer than one might expect.Includes easy to change applicator tips that allow a broader discharge of the electrical impulse over larger surface areas of the skin and a smaller more focused top for precision discharge of the impulse to smaller areas.An easy to read red display built into the pen shows which power level you are using. There are two simple buttons to either increase or decrease the device's power level to the setting of your choice.While many people will hardly notice the discharge at very lowest settings, almost anyone can feel the highest setting's intensity, though not very uncomfortable if even that...The electrical impulse that this device delivers is not constant; it is a pulsed type that delivers a series of impulses with pauses between each short pulse. However, it can continually provide the pulsed current for as long as you may like.This is a great, handy device for interrupting minor muscle pain, and it also seems to alleviate the contractions and discomforts associated with trigger finger and similar syndromes.

This works well for pain in my hand. I like that I can use it as a stand alone tool instead of getting out the TENS unit, pads, etc. This little pen has two different tips (one piece, two different ends) that get right to the sore spot. You can adjust the strength of the pulse.The gel sample was dried up when it arrived. However, it didn't diminish the value of the pen. I recommend it if you have sore joints in your hand. It works.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this Acupuncture pen but since I have been studying and applying acupressure to myself using my hands, I thought this pen might be more effective.The instructions state that when the muscle shakes that it is working and it truly is!  I get tight shoulders from a desk job and so I used this on my shoulder and it started shaking like crazy which to be honest with you is sort of "freaky" really.  But I left it there for a while and noticed that my entire arm from my shoulder to my hand felt so much better, sort of like a mini-deep massage.  That sold me right there and I have been using it ever since. I do want to mention that it can and does cause your body part for example your hand to "jerk" all over the place when hitting  a certain nerve, like in your shoulder for example, so use with caution.I took away one star because the lower button has to be pushed in order for the level to go "up," and  the top button in order for it to go down.  Not a big deal, it is just so "counterintuitive" that I am actually surprised it was designed that way as it just leads to constant frustration.A couple of more words of caution, absolutely do not use around your mouth even though it states it can be used on the face, lowest level, which I did and it shocked my gums/teeth so badly that they hurt for a full day.You really do have to be careful with this instrument because they state to eventually go up to level "9" however I found that if not placed correctly as in too close to a bone, it can actually hurt quite a bit!  I can't even imagine going anywhere near a level "9" at least not at this point.  The highest I have gone is a level "5" and that was super intense on my feet.   I couldn't feel much on the top of my head and did try a higher level, and my scalp was actually tender at that spot the next day. The battery life seems to hold up well in that I have used this for several months now off and on throughout the day and haven't had to replace the battery yet.Overall I think this is a good price for what it does and I am happy to have found it. However, I found the picture of the "interdental picks" to be a bit misleading in that at first I thought they looked like "acupuncture needles," not sure what that is all about but don't think including those in the set adds much or is even necessary really.  Just "cheap advertising" in my opinion.  As a side note, I did purchase another, different Acupuncture pen with a rechargeable battery from a different seller that has a more ergonomic handle which I prefer except for the fact there is no indicator when the battery is low and the unit just stops. I noticed no notable difference in strength between this regular battery powered unit and the rechargeable one, they are equal in output in my opinion. This truly does work and I am glad I got it because it has offered quite a bit of pain relief and I do feel better over all, definitely worth the money for sure.

This is my second tens pen. The first one I bought on another web site and it won't stay on when I turn it on, shuts off over and over immediately. Thought I'd buy one on Amazon hoping it would be better quality. It says on when I turn on however the entire tip falls off while I'm using it. I'm really disappointed because I need one to work when I'm not able to hookup my actual tens machine with pads.

I love this thing! I’m a massage therapist and if you understand the meridians and how acupressure points relate to organs of the body, your sore places will make a lot of sense, and this alleviates a lot of work.You have to make sure you’re using a wet medium, like massage oil or lotion and the skin has to be damp, then the shocks won’t hurt.I also love how you can increase or decrease the intensity.I had a neck injury that affected my whole shoulder girdle, and when I placed this on the point that hurt, it got my entire shoulder jumping and treated not only the spot of pain, but the referral tissues as well.It’s just as good or better than tapping because it treats more in a zap than you can in a tap.For $12 you can’t beat how nifty this is.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I have been buying these mini-shock pens for years for myself and friends and relatives who have pain problems. This isn't a magic wand, and you wouldn't use it instead of other treatments, but it helps as an add-on, and it is cheap and safe.

Vou avaliar só o material do aparelho, achei o material muito frágil, acompanha dois potinhos com um pouquinho de gel, não preenche o espaço do recipiente. Espero que seja útil para a finalidade. Ainda não usei.
