Good product - temperature may affect its operation.
Like all devices such as this, they don't like cold weather and lose some of their oomph when it is cold. One of the storage doors on my RV was not staying up, so I purchased these to fix the problem. Well, the new ones were better in the winter when I installed them, but still didn't hold up the door completely. When the weather warmed up, gangbusters: they work great. Just know the temperature limitation. I now wonder if I had just waited until warm weather if I could have gotten along with the old ones. Too late.
