It was actually quite a loose fit in the hole vacated by the old, stiffened by much use, rubber plug. But well within the allowance of the washer size and larger diameter, once centred. No leaks. I did quite like the rubber plug type, as there were very clearly a weak link that would fail on over-temperature or over pressure. Whereas I have to take these on trust, as there is no way of checking how thick the internal weak spot is or what material it is made from. Still, I don't use the pressure cooker for anything other than steam cooking and so there is never anything in it that might block the "weight" controlled vent.Much cheaper than replacing the whole thing and delivered promptly and efficiently. Cheaper than any of the equivalents that I found and with that all important washer - without which it would have leaked.

Does the job and saves buying a new pressure cooker

It doesn't fit on all cooker. I return the product as it didn't fit on my cooker.. But they didn't refund me. I mailed my time but they want proof of tracking system. I post it in 2 class so I have no tracking number.
