This works well for my neck massages so far. At first it felt as though it was pushing on the front of my neck but, then I tucked my chin a bit and it got really comfortable. I've only used it a couple of times but have not felt that it was not supporting me. So as of now I'll give it 2 thumbs up. I'll try to update after I've used it more.

The angle is okay and the cut out for women gives you options BUT it is NOT COMFORTABLE! It is too rigid and hurts your face. You either have to support your head almost entirely on your chin or hug your arms around it to prevent it from spreading so you are supported by your cheek bones. If you put your chin inside you will crush your windpipe. It needs memory foam to soften support and a Velcro strap or something to prevent it from spreading. Some type of support for your forehead is also needed. It also gets very hot breathing into the hole. It is cheap and might get you through for a short time after surgery with some modifications but NOT a solution for stomach sleeping!

I bought the smaller size because I thought it would be good for travel and it cost less. What I didn't realize is that the pillow is sized for teeny tiny heads. That's my guess anyway. Lying face down the cutout only covers from my nose to my chin. No way can it support my head. I'm now using the pillow for a reading wedge and it's quite compact and useful. If you want to sleep on your stomach with one of these pillows make sure you get the measurements on the recessed area.

I bought this for a family member who had eye surgery and had to stay face-down. He says it has helped tremendously. It is not the best quality but great for the price.

This product is a Godsend. I just had a vitrectomy and had to sleep with my face down without eyes contact. Before I got it, I was struggling to get comfortable. The backache, the difficulty in breathing were quite a challenge every night. This is fantastic. I have a waterbed and my arms were crushed sleeping on my stomach before I got this pillow. It gently raises your body and the indent of the pillow allows your eyes to not touch the bed and allows you to breathe and lets your arms rest comfortably. Wonderful! I highly recommend this as a face down solution!!

The good - very firm foam. For women the pillow has a boob grove. The bad - Very uncomfortable. The pillow has very harsh edges. The face support is painful. I can feel the pillow on my face as a solid line while the corners dig into my head. Even the boob grove is uncomfortable as the edges of it are very uncomfortable on my chest. Even turning the pillow over does not help as the face part is smaller and even worse than the regular side. I will be keeping it because as a wedge it works when sleeping on my back.

My sister recently had a detached retina surgery and she had to remain face down for 72 hours after the surgery. She needed something to rest her neck and shoulders on but yet still have room to breathe and still be face down. I saw this on Amazon and it worked out perfectly! We searched all over our city for something to help in her recovery but could not find anything and all along, it was on Amazon! The pillow is soft but firm and has a slipcover over it for cleanliness. It completely supports your shoulders and neck so you can relax and sleep while being face down. Couldn't have asked for a better pillow and the price was very reasonable. Thanks Amazon!

I was excited to get this and was dismayed with how it worked (or did not work), the biggest problem is that the foam is way too dense (the foam was way too rigid) and here is what happens because of that: It was impossible to get comfortable with this, if you move a bit further back the foam will choke you (did I mention that the foam is too dense?) If you move the other direction the foam will hurt the sides of your head (did I mention the foam is too dense?). I cannot imagine how some people gave this a 3, 4 or 5 star....they must just be very nice people...I just want to warn everyone who is considering to buy this, not to do so I really wanted this to work since I sleep on my stomach with head straight down. Based upon this item and the lack of choices that are available on the internet, one can only hope that someone will invent something comfortable and that will work. some day in the near future.

Doesn’t work to relief post eye surgery recovery. Should have read the reviews here. It’s too hard! Poor quality foam

Compré este producto para ayudar a mi madre tras su vitrectomia, pero el colchón es sumamente tieso, tanto así que no fue posible para mi madre estar ni 5 minutos sobre él. Además el hueco donde debería ir el pecho está casi sobre el estómago lo cual hace imposible para personas con busto grande. Simplemente un gasto inútil, demasiado caro para la calidad de el producto.

Uncomfortable for women with larger chests

I was really looking forward to this because my boyfriend and I give each other back massages all the time and our necks always end up with a kink in them after lying down with our heads turned to the side for so long. It works okay, but we only use it when we want to also massage our neck. It was too narrow. It fit the width of my torso, but not my shoulders which made it awkward when being pressed down upon. It felt unstable. Also, the incline is a bit odd, but that's not really something you can change for a on the bed solution. The other issue I had with this pillow is that there is no airflow for your breathing so it quickly gets stuffy. Unfortunately there aren't very many on the bed massage solutions, so this is still an okay pillow considering the other options available. However, it is rather expensive and I don't feel as though I am getting my money's worth.
