MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust System 15671: Cat-Back, Street Series, For 1999-2004 Ford Mustang

The media could not be loaded. Our other car has a terrible drone at highway speeds. When I did my wife's 2000 mustang GT convertible she said no drone. With this system it's exactly what you get. At 55-60 mph you can hear the exhaust note but it does not drone. Installation on jack stands took some effort getting the new pieces up and over the rear axle. Would be much easier with a lift . The car in the video has no modifications other than a high flow air filter and now this cat back. 4 stars because the getting it to fit exactly right with no rubbing took more effort that it should. If the hangers had been moved a couple of degrees it would have made for an easier install. But the end result is exactly what we were looking for.

I am really disappointed in this system The sound is OK but has a continued droning sound and in a convertible its annoying. The main problem is that it will not stay on tight. I have had it to different shops, get it lined up perfectly straight and tight then a week later it rattles and clanks again. Magnaflow was not much help either. I am going to pull it off and get a local exhaust shop to do it right.

Exact sound I was looking for, but take your time adjusting the parts to not rattle.I did need to cut and re-bend the hanger rods that were attached to the chrome tips. Fortunately, they were removable. The sound is definitely louder than stock, but no drone when cruising. However, the increased sound does affect listening pleasure to music. You can't have it both ways and earphones are illegal, if I recall. I did not deduct one star because of the sound; that is why I bought these. I deducted a star because of the fit of the Chrome tips.
