Joseph Joseph Scoop Potato Ricer Masher, Gray

I bought two of these potato ricers 1 year ago this month. Now I have come back to purchase 4 or 5 more for Christmas Gifts and there are ONLY 2 left in stock like mine, and apparently Joseph Joseph will NOT be restocking them because I have been holding off forever ordering them, and to No Avail, still have Not seen a Restock Notification. So I had to SETTLE on Different Ricers for my current Christmas Gifts this year! My friends might not be disappointed - cuz they won't know any better..., but I Certainly Will be having to give them a much different gift than the Superior Ricers I bought for myself just last year for myself and my daughter!! Isn't that Just what ALWAYS happens when you find a superior product??!Anyway, I use this Joseph Joseph Ricer not for ricing potatoes, cuz that's what I have my mixer for or my hand masher for - but it would work hardily and handily for that purpose, it certainly is durable enough for that!!! But why bother!! I bought it for the sole purpose of mashing excess water out of frozen/defrosted spinach when making spinach dip - one of my most hated chores (used to)! Also, for draining and mashing the excess juice out of crushed pineapples when making pies or icing or anything that needs them drained very well, or any other vegetable or fruit that needs to be pressed of it's moisture or flattened out, somewhat! Works Great!!

This potato masher works well. My only suggestion is that if you are making a big batch, work fast! It will take you several times to mash all the potatoes and the first ones you mash will start getting cold if you take too long. Other than that I really like how easy it is to mash them and how smooth the mashed potatoes are - NO LUMPS.

It is pretty good masher. It is very easy to use and clean. However you can only mash one potato at the time and as a scoop it does not work as well as I thought. It is much easier to use a spoon to load it than take it apart for every potato. It is very well made and super sturdy. Mashed potatoes come out very smooth and without lumps. The other thing that I like that it is mostly plastic not stainless steel it will not rust. Over all I am very pleased.

So much better than the all metal ricers. Don't have to deal with any rusting. Works great and cleans up so easily. Wife loves the ability to separate parts for cleaning, so much easier.

Much harder to use than I expected.

I purchased this at Thanksgiving and have been so pleased with this item. It does take practice to really get the hang of using it, mostly because it is an awkward maneuver, but once you get the feel for it, it is easy and a game changer. It is easy to clean and have no had issues with potatoes getting stuck in the presser. Definitely worth the buy!

Sturdy, easy to clean and use. Rices potatoes well. Easy to store.
