BUYER BEWARE - Poor Customer Service!
I purchased my EKO Neo-Cube 50L step trash can in November 2020. Initially, I was very pleased with the trash can, however, within 3 months the hydraulic soft-close feature quit working. At first, the hydraulic cylinder, which allows the lid to open and close softly, would just come out of it’s proper place about once a week. Within a few weeks it wasn't working at all. The cylinder is completely defective and pin does not properly move in and out as it should. I first called the customer service number on their website in May 2020, and was told I should send an email to customer service. This is really where my frustration with this product begins. Since then I have made over a half dozen calls and sent 14 emails. Today I spent an hour on the phone with their customer service trying to get someone to help me order a replacement hydraulic cylinder. I've never asked for the part for free — I'm willing to pay for it. I just want my trash can working properly. After all my emails and phone calls over the past 4 months, I finally received my first email response from one of the emails I sent on August 2nd. The reply offered no help but, "Please be advised that it does take time to research your issues." How much time does it take? I have told them the part I need in numerous emails and phone calls. I have provided the part number stamped on the part. I have sent photos of the trash can and part, both in the mechanism and out next to a ruler for size details. I couldn't have made this easier. Does it really take 4 months to pick a part from the rack, put it in an envelope, call me for my credit card, and send it on it's way?Today I've had enough and have purchased another stainless steel soft-close trash can from a competitive manufacturer. Overall, I was happy with the trash can, but their customer service is about the worst I've experienced. I just wanted to order a part, replace it, and go on with life. It's just a trash can and it really should not have been this hard to get someone to help me with a very simple a part!I would not recommend purchasing anything from EKO.

Quality!
Durable, good quality, traps odors! Easy to clean, but will get fingerprints or debris in and around lid.

Poor quality, and Horrible Customer Service
As others have noted, the quality of the plastic is poor. But the customer support is even worse. The damper that prevents the lid from slamming open and slamming closed broke within a year of purchase. I contacted customer support for replacement parts via their website as it instructs. We are not 2 months into them emailing me every two weeks or so asking for new information or clarification. Most recently they want proof of purchase, video footage of the trash bin in operation, serial number, and model number. This is after we have already determined the broken part in need of replacement.I contacted them to PAY for a replacement part and I can't even do that. I'll be purchasing a replacement trash bin but it won't be EKO. Steer clear of this brand!

Piece of garbage
Piece of garbage. First one broke within 6 months. Got replacement. The second broke within 3 months. Same issue - soft close stops working and lid just slams.

Not good
Top hinge broke within 6 months. Every plastic piece broken after about 18 months. Essentially junk after that. Did not hold up well at all. Replaced with a cheaper HDX stainless steel can that appears much better made.

Won’t last 2 months DISAPPOINTED
Product couldn’t withstand 2 months of use. The plastic liner which holds the bags began to crack at the rim and separated from the rest of the plastic can. Kind of an annoyance as it’s kind of what holds the bags on the can.
