Bosch 00610087 Genuine OEM Door Cable (White) for Bosch Dishwashers

It has a seemingly more robust rope connecting to ends than the original. Hoping for a long service life.

If this is the part that failed on your dishwasher and you are a do-it-yourselfer repair person you are in luck. This was the second replacement. Don't expect this part that gets heavy use to last a decade. The quality of the part matches the quality of the OEM component in our BOSCH dishwasher.

This cord attaches to a coil. The cord wouldn’t adapt to the existing coil in my dishwasher. Please note that Bosch had made a change to the assembly at some point after we bought our dishwasher, but I did not discover it until I tried to install this cord. The cord itself may or may not fit your model; the Bosch customer service rep we spoke to wasn’t even aware of this change so I don’t know how you can find out on your particular model other than investigate like I did. I figured it out by looking at the diagram of the parts and found a YouTube video which showed the new coil. They had changed the design of the coil at some point. My dishwasher is SHX65T55UC.It is very frustrating to have spent many hours of wasted time on such a simple thing. The cord breaking that holds the door in place when you open it is a common problem in these dishwashers, which is most likely why Bosch changed the design. Our unit was registered and our email address provided; Bosch should have sent out a mass email to all registered owners when they changed the part!

This was a lifesaver the first time my original part broke. But a few months after replacing the door cable, the *new* one broke again (glad they came in packs of two).Installation is easy if you're comfortable finding and reading your parts diagram, and it was cheap enough to solve the problem. But I'd literally pay double or more for something of better quality that didn't need to be replaced again so quickly.

I had previously purchased a less expensive alternative, but it failed within 6 months. Money down a rat hole. I had to bite the bullet and buy the official Bosch part. As the original one lasted several years, I am hopeful that the official part will do the same.

These replace the original door counterweight "cables" on Bosch dishwashers, however, if the plastic ends on the original springs are broken as well you would be better off buying a kit that includes new springs and these cables. The new springs are redesigned so they fit even if the old springs broke the plastic on the dishwasher cabinet where the originals attached. Overall the redesigned springs are an upgrade and should have been a recall modification by Bosch.

This is the exact part needed to fix my Bosch dishwasher door that broke. The string that kept the door from slamming down on my dishwasher door when opened had frayed and snapped.This product is a right and left side plastic piece with attached string that inserts into the dishwashers door, then, loops around the pulley system to attach to the spring on the dishwasher.Installation was easy and my door is fixed.
