INITIAL REVIEW (1-week and 6-month updates below)This air fryer is hands-down the absolute best air fryer on the market. I previously had the Ninja. I bought it probably a year ago, and after about 6 months, it was so filthy above the heating element that I was afraid I would poison myself by continuing to use it. I can't even imagine the amount of bacteria and fungus that was growing inside of that thing. And when I read the manual for the Homia, it literally says be sure to break it down and clean it after each use because you risk the growth of bacteria and fungus if you don't. Anyway, after about six months of owning my in Ninja, I threw it away and bought a second Ninja because of how dirty it was and also because it was starting to stink in my kitchen being that it's impossible to clean thorougy. And this time I said, I'm going to make sure I flip it upside down and clean it every day. After about a week, something told me to really inspect above the heating element even though I had been cleaning it everyday by flipping it upside down. I wrapped a fork in a dishcloth, and slid it under the heating element and just rubbed back and forth. The amount of brown stuff that came off on the rag was disgusting. The bottom line is, there is no way to clean any other air fryer on the market. It's just impossible. I cannot believe they made these things so that you can't clean them. It's just gross. I am so grateful I found the Homia. It breaks completely down. You can break down the basket, and the heating element to clean all of them. You really should remove the silver tray from inside of the basket before you put in the dishwasher, otherwise you risk it rusting. The first time I put in the dishwasher, I left it attached down in the basket. You can see that in my last picture. And the next day it was a little rusty, but it did wipe clean thankfully. To remove the silver tray from the basket, just press in on the four areas where it connects to the basket. You it may have to press two at a time, but it'll pop right out. You can see it detached in my third and fourth picture.Homia - incase you are reading this, I can only think of one thing that would make your air fryer beyond perfect - that is, if you could make it so that we don't have to unscrew the heating element with a screwdriver, and make it so that there's some type of a push and release connector, and then it snaps back in. I am very happy with your air fryer, but for your next generation, that would be great.1 WEEK UPDATE: It's great! I don't like the aluminum crisper plate - food sticks to it - so I use the fish grill instead. Everything cooks beautifully on it and doesn't stick - even pepper and onions! I've made my beloved Alexia sweet potato puffs and crispy seasoned puffs, and I also made a Beyond Burger that came out so juicy and good! The puffs were still crispy even though I used the fish grill instead of the crisper plate. I'm looking forward to many more delicious meals! So, that's my tip - stick with the fish grill and you won't be disappointed.6 MONTH UPDATE: The company just provided me wonderful customer service. The heating element has started to rust and the fish grill's coating is rubbing off. I reached out to Homia via the Amazon messaging feature and they shipped me a new fish grill and heating element. I'm very happy with my air fryer and this company. I'm still so thrilled that I'm able to break it down and clean it. I wouldn't use any other air fryer.

This is an initial review of actual product I treated myself to for Christmas. Haven’t used it yet but definitely looking forward to trying it. This product was the best packaged small appliance I have ever purchased in my 68yrs. If giving as a gift, the receiver will be impressed with not only the quality of box packing but also every piece inside. Well thought out packaging design. Each piece was wrapped and protected for shipment. The impressive packaging is a real preview of the manufacturing quality of the unit itself. The air fryer unit is top quality. Sturdy heft and after removing top portion, the quality design is evident. Nothing flimsy about product. Plastic parts are rigid and nice quality. Inner metal parts are solid, well built. All parts of structure are well quality controlled. No poor drill holes, cheap screws or flimsy plastic, thin metal.The included accessories are just as well designed and of quality materials. The silicone accessories are solid but flexible like you want them. The cake, pizza, grill metal accessories are non-stick, solid, well made and actually fit perfectly for use.Best things about design of fryer unit are first, the quality of the fryer drawer. To remove drawer grab the handle to slide out. That portion is solid construction, able to support weight of food in pot without fear of spilling and has a double secured handle. Meaning that the handle not only is solid built and securely attached to the unit but designed to securely remove drawer and move it to a safe flat surface and then removed inner food container. I’m saying secure because I couldn’t figure out how to get pot out. You actually have to vertically lift the pot because the handle is in a well designed slot to protect against accidental spills or handle breakage.And second, the most important part of the design, as far as I am concerned, is the heating element. The one thing I can’t stand about small appliances is the build up of crud or greasy residue, that sticky surface feel, on it anywhere, but the imfamous area under the heating unit drives me nuts. The DROID solved this issue because the heating element comes off allowing not only the underneath surface to be cleaned but also the heating element can be cleaned. According to the book, all these removalbe parts can be washed in soapy water or even placed in the DISHWASHER. You do need to unscrew 4 easily accessible screws to remove the element but anything less wouldn’t allow for a secure heating element above the cooking pot. All metal cooking surfaces are non stick coated.When you have finish cooking in and cleaning the unit, all those accessories fit inside the unit for storage.

I bought this product in May it’s now September and it no longer turns on. It suddenly stopped working, keep in mind I did not use it everyday. Overall it was a great fryer while it lasted.

So far so good! This is our first air fryer and we really are impressed! The first thing I fixed was frozen onion rings and they turned out really good, not greasy or tough like you would get if you deep fried them, just a nice onion flavor. French fries came out great the next night, crispy and soft inside. Last night I used it to reheat 2 one inch thick pork chops that I shaked and baked before this amazing air fryer arrived, and I dumped the rest of the frozen onion rings in with them and set the timer for 11 minutes at 365° and pulled out the basket at around 4 minutes left and moved the onion rings around. When it was done I didn't think the pork chops would be heated thru but they were hot, not dried out and crispy on the outside, usually use the microwave to reheat left-overs but not anymore, and the onion rings were perfect! So easy to clean! Love it! I hate anything that takes a long time to clean up and this thing takes just a few simple steps! Get one you won't regret it! Comes with all kinds of accessories. No more heating up the big stove for just the 2 of us! My husband went out and bought all kinds of frozen food items to fix that we never bought before because we didn't want to deep fry. Can't wait to try the frozen hush puppies, chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, cat fish nuggets, breaded mushrooms...
