CONAIRHair Dryer, Worldwide Travel Hair Dryer with Smart Voltage Technology and Folding Handle, Includes Concentrator

After destroying my blow dryer on an international vacation last year, I was looking for a travel blow dryer. This Conair one is exactly what I was looking for. It is lightweight and will store easily in my carry on for my next international vacation. I love that it is able to sense the appropriate voltage, so no more fried blow dryers for me. I used it shortly after I received it and it works great. For a travel blow dryer it has lots of power and easily dried my hair. I was anticipating spending way more for the blow dryer, so happy with the great price. It’s a true value for my money. Highly recommended.

This hair dryer is lightweight, small enough for me to use on myself (I don't have to be a contortionist), I don't have to use it for travel and can still use it for home-use. It dries my hair quickly and my hair does not have frizz since this is an ionic hair dryer. It is a nice color and I like that it folds (since it is travel size) so that it fits easily inside my drawer. My arms don't get sore anymore from using an old hair dryer that was really meant for salon use (for someone else to be using on you) and it was too heavy and long, so this Conair travel size version is perfect.

I took it to Italy and Spain and the power was great plus you get two different heated options and two drying powers. The dryer works as advertised my hair is fine and curly and if I do not get a good heat and drying power it just gets freeze ,and it did a pretty good job the only thing that I didn’t like to much was the attachment I found it a bit thick probably is the plastic material they use. My conclusion is the dryer is light weight a bit bigger that other international dryers but My concern was more the weight and the drying power than the size and it fitted the bill, I will not use it at home or for traveling in the USA since I have a Dyson but for traveling to countries with different voltage is great, plus the dryer switches the voltage automatically and that is awesome.My reason for 4 stars is for the attachment being a bit thick.

Light weight and lower noise than any dryer I've had- the pitch is lower too, so more comfortable to the ears. Dries well and feels comfortable when styling. One other review mentioned poor placement of control buttons, but I didn't have any trouble with them. The buttons are sturdy in place and I don't recall my fingers even touching them while drying my hair. I love that it has 3 heat settings plus a cold shot. The only glitch is that, as others mention, the cord is a little short-5ft. Not a problem at home, but I suppose it could potentially be with travel. Given that I really like all the other features of this dryer, I'm fine if I have to dry my hair without a mirror due to the shorter cord. If I have any problems with it in Europe, I'll update my review, otherwise, assume it works as well in Europe.Update: I used this in Europe for 3 wks and it worked great. The automatic transition to the different voltage in Europe was seamless. Of course, you have to use the appropriate adapter for where you are in Europe or other places. This is a great travel dryer, and I like it so much that I’ve shelved my home dryer and am using this exclusively.

This compact hairdryer did a fantastic job this past summer while I was traveling in Europe. I didn't have to worry about the voltage, as it automatically adapts to the voltage needed. It folded up great and was easy to pack in my suitcase. I would use this dryer full time at home in the US, but I'm saving it for travel! Try it, you'll love it.

I love everything about this hair dryer. It lights up on the side what voltage is coming through (125 or 220) and you CAN use it across in EU/UK and places not using 110 without frying OR reducing POWER VOLUME and SPEED to dry your hair. Every "dual voltage" hair dryer I have ever had up until now with this one simply powers "DOWN" to HALF STRENGTH when running on 220 (which I hate because I have long hair and I cannot deal with how long it takes to dry my hair at such a slow, low speed). Most dryers promising "DUAL" voltage are fine on 110 volts in the USA but then they cut down to "half-power" performance in a 220 volt country and it is REALLY horrible and such a SCAM! That is why I love this hair dryer as it goes full power at 110 or 220 volts and there is a little light on the side telling you what volts are running AND you don't have to "switch" anything to match voltage -- you just PLUG IT IN wherever you are. AND it is compact as the handle bends. The whole dryer is ingenious and so appreciated. PLEASE keep making these. I will always pack mine in my suitcase!!! It's even great at home too!!!

It works as far as heating up, and blowing. But, I was really disappointed with the amount of blowing power it offers. They state..."Specially designed for worldwide usage, the Conair 1875-Watt Worldwide Travel Dryer features Smart Voltage Technology to automatically detect and adjust to foreign voltage!" That may be true if you combine the CURRENT IN THE USA AND THE CURRENT OVERSEAS, but it most definitely does NOT give off that blowing power in my USA BATHROOM. It was DEFINITELY NOT at 1875-watts. More like 1600/1800 watts, if that. The pros are it does fold up, and is lightweight.
