AMAZINGLY easy to follow instructions! It is definitely not a weekend project. The wires are labeled clearly. Many different options depending on your vehicle. Definitely worth getting a good wire crimping tool. Be sure to read the directions before opening the packages. I would also wait to rip out your old harness. That way it is a little easier to install.

I used this to replace the original harness. i have no accessories (power locks, power windows, electronic speedometer etc. ) If I were building a custom truck this would have been great. This was explained to the contact person and I went with the recommendation. Lots of waste in my case. Lesson learned.

This wiring harness was exactly what my truck needed. It was a fairly straight forward installation and the directions were easy to follow. All the wires are clearly marked and have all necessary wires in the harness for Standard wiring configuration, or if vehicle is modified with HEI, digital temp, fuel pump, etc. it has those additional wires already included.One note, it will take some time. It's not a "weekender" job for one or two people. There are some tools you will need to buy (or rent from Amercian Auto Wire) for crimping. I purchased http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050KDKUC/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_11 for crimping, and they worked well for most of the crimps, but had to make do with some larger connectors that these did not crimp very clean. I'm sure the ones that they rent are better and with probably less headaches. You will also need a nice Klien wire stripper for all the stripping http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BC39YFQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_21 These strippers did a nice job. I also bought some Scapa Friction Tape that hid all the exposed wiring (it took two rolls of 60 ft to complete the task), and looked very professional.Final note: American Auto Wire has great customer service. I never had any issue getting to a live, knowledgeable person within 1 minute. They stayed with me an helped me troubleshoot an issue with the tailights that turned out to be a defect in the new taillights and not in the wiring. Great company and product.
