This is the best non toxic brand. I mix it with their henna and some fresh sqeezed lemon with distilled water which gives my white hair a golden blond look. The more you layer color on top of color the more brown you can get. Washes out easy in the shower. Does not damage my hair. Does not give me any side effects. The only drawback is that you have to leave it on your hair for 4 hours.

I liked this Zekhara Indigo. It gives nice black color when you mix it with henna.

I have been using sunrise for many years. Their quality is not what it was. It doesn’t stick to the hair well, just with one wash most of it is out.. that doesn’t use to happen. I have been doing 2 step process for almost 15-18 years but since last one year not able to get same resultsAncient sunrise

Awesome natural solution to white hair

The last bags I have ordered/bought this indigo, last year and this, which I used to love, have not work like it used to. I do 2 step and I used to leave indigo for only 40 min cuz it would get so dark almost black when I only wanted dark brown, it would lighten up a little at 4 weeks when it was time for root retouch for my almost white hair but it worked awesome! 1 hr henna, rinse, 40 min indigo, mild shampoo and that was it, beautiful dark brown shiny hair color but this last bag and the previous ones I even leave it for 1 1/2 and it ends as a light brown, I tried adding salt, nada, same result, next days ends up reddish brown, 2 weeks and I'm a strawberry redheaded when the next 2 days used to just get darker. Only different thing is that I don't add amla but not always I have added amla in the first years when I used to order directly from the Mehandi website. Now I'm even getting this rash on the back of my head that won't go away, I haven't change the way I've been doing it either, I don't wash my hair that often either, I really don't think is the same quality or even the same product anymore.I'm very sad and disappointed cause I've been doing the 2 step for over 17 years and my end result was always beautiful and exactly the color I wanted!Years ago I tried cheaper brands with awful results and I realized it was worth it to pay much more for this and now I don't know, I wouldn't want to go back to regular stinky toxic store bought haircolor no way! And if this is just a waste of my time, I don't know what I would do, I don't like strawberry redhead at all, I'm latina and I want to look just the normal haircolor for my skin color, I don't wanna go white/gray either yet as I still have dark brown hair in spots and I'm not that old either, white hair runs in my family since we were in our 20s, so no, not ready yet. Help, Ancient Sunrise, give me a solution, please! Long time customer here!
