People Don't Bite People (The People Books) Hardcover – Picture Book, April 3, 2018

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely LOVE this book! It rhymes and the illustrations are absolutely adorable! I would recommend this one to every parent. I also like that it not only talks about not biting people, but it also talks about not biting yourself such as lips and fingernails.

The illustration in this book is soft but vibrant at the same time. I don’t know what it is exactly but it draws me in so much and I love looking at the pictures right along with my little one. The rhythm of the rhyme in the story is fun to read and maybe because were currently nearing the Christmas season the ending with the gingerbread has been extra fun so reinforce the ending rhyme as well. Originally checked this out from the library and my 3 year old asked to read it multiple times once we had to return it so I decided it deserved a permanent spot in our home library.

Our son had bit his fifth victim when we were recommended this book. This book actually got him to stop biting other little kids! It’s long for a 1.5 year old kid but he loves it and sticks around to the end of it. Fun book with vibrant colors and nice rhymes.

We were having problems with our 16 month old biting her older sister and me (her mom) when she would get mad or frustrated, since she can’t fully talk yet. About a week after we started reading her this book, we noticed the biting was over. She’s 19 months now and she still needs a reminder every now and then because she’ll bite her own arm when she gets frustrated. Then we say “Biting is for ——“ and she’ll say “food” and quit biting herself. The critiques I have about this book are: it’s pretty tall/wide. I didn’t look at the dimensions prior to buying it. Also it has paper pages instead of hard pages, so my little one ripped a page. They’re pretty hard on books at this age so you’d think it would be hard. Overall, glad I bought it and I will pass it along to friends who have biters!

First time we read the book to my biting 2yr old and her 4yr old sister, the book says "some people bite their nails, some chew their ponytails, some chew their lip..." and I look up to see my 4yr old stuffing her hair in her mouth to try it out.Once we got beyond that is a good book.

This book is absolutely darling from the illustrations to the rhyming text! Such a cute story whether your kid is a biter or not!

Purchased for my 2 yr old who has been biting his big brother recently. He's nonverbal so I find using books and pictures very helpful when trying to teach things. He loves this books and requests we read it quite often.

We were at our wits end with our 2.5 year old who would not stop biting his friends at school. He didn't bite at home so we were having a hard time correcting the behavior. I finally bought this book and read it to him every night and every morning. I even turned the book into a song and he loved it! It's been almost 2 months now and he hasn't bit anyone since!!! You have to buy this book if you are having any issues with biting!
