Mbr Industries ST-98522 Luggage Scale Digital

I bought this scale to avoid overpacking my suitcases and also to estimte postal costs for packages (postal scales are SO expensive!). This scale is great because it can weigh everything from a shirt to a fully-packed suitcase. It also has a 'hold' function so that you can weigh a heavy object and still have time to see the weight before it turns off. Oh, and it turns itself off if it isn't being used. It's bulkier than other luggage scales, but I wanted this particular hook feature - it isn't all that heavy, and the handle slides down to make it more compact for packing.

I have a Travelon analog scale and was hoping for something with a higher degree of accuracy, however, it's difficult to say whether or not this is it. First, it is sturdily build, which is a plus, however, when you pick up the bag with it, you have to hold absolutely still in order for it to register and hold (fairly difficult to do with a heavy bag). The hold display only lasts for a couple of seconds before it flashes off, so you have to be pretty quick to see it (or be able to hold the display high enough to see it while the bag is still on). If I hadn't already thrown the packaging away I'd return it.
