Keeping in mind that this textbook was what I needed, and based off word of mouth, is currently in short supply which makes it apparently more expensive than what I certainly payed for it, I still admit to being generally disappointed in this ~$120 textbook.While the cover art is the same and the edition is likely correct, I received a paperback version of the textbook with superficial wear & tear and with small dirt/coffee stains on the outer pages, which makes its quality below my expectations.As for the contents not the presentation, everything is clear and legible which I guess that is what primarily counts. I can't say I entirely regret purchasing a necessity, and too much time has passed in my case to send it back and reorder it for the course, but to anyone reading this, just be wary if you plan to buy this textbook used that you may receive a black and white paperback with the quality I'd associate with an Indian/Pakistani international edition (which I usually much cheaper). If somehow there isn't a huge price difference in the future between used and new, either just buy the hardcover textbook new or literally just buy the international version that's around $50 (though apparently with a longer shipping delay as was my case).

Literally this is like a text book.

This is one of those books which features amazingly easy examples, then throws you into complex problems to solve on your own. Think of it as that professor who teaches you one thing, but puts something entirely new on a test to "see how much you've learned" when it's obvious you didn't learn what they didn't teach. The book also lacks answers to check your work. If you're unfamiliar with the topics being discussed, you have no clue if your answers are right or not. So, you crank through some problem, and find the answer to be 40megajoules. Great! So you turn to the back to verify your work and...nothing is there for verification...pretty lousy thing to do to students who are forced to take online classes with constant deadlines and little professor interaction. I only gave this book two stars since it does have some useful formulas.

The product advertised as new came with worn front and back covers. The binding is not broken. Paying $230 for a book to come in this condition is crazy.

I do not have any problem with the information presented in this book. My problem is the book that I received is a knock off and I plan to contact the publisher to verify authenticity. The entire book looks as if the pages where Xeroxed and then cheaply bound.

This book took too long to be delivered. Once I received the book, I noticed that the ISBN number had tape over it. I received an international copy – when I clearly ordered a book with an attempt to be shipped from within the US. Highly misleading!

Does not explain the concepts well, the questions are often not relevant or have the wrong answers given in the back.
