I’m a popaholic, a picker, and enjoy all that type of body grossness. (Don’t judge me!) My husband is now at a certain age where I’m frequently plucking hairs from his ears, trimming brow hairs, etc. When removing wayward hairs (that should be on his balding head and not in his ears) I will do an ear canal cleaning as well. My struggle was always trying to see what I was doing with tweezers or other tools without hurting him or puncturing his ear drum (already has hearing loss in one ear - don’t want to make it worse). Not to mention, the opening to his ear canals are small and then turn at a weird angle. So for months I’ve been telling him I gotta find an ear speculum so I could safely and effectively remove any ear wax. So one day I went on my Amazon app and searched for ear kits and lo and behold, there were several! This one was reasonably priced and came with all the items I figured I could possibly need. Let me tell you - the speculum thingy and the offset tweezers are AMAZING!! I can finally get those paper-thin combo dry skin/ear wax sheets that often line his ear canal. Don’t know why I didn’t buy this ages ago!! Just to add to my weirdness factor that we’ve already established - I find using these tools SO SATISFYING!! Best gift I’ve bought myself in a really long time. I LOVE this kit!

Since I have received this product, I have used it to many times to count. My kids and grandkids always need their ears cleaned out. It makes it so easy to clean their ears out now because it is less likely to hurt them than using q-tips or using warm water.The bottom of the pen light pulls right off and uses ANY USB charger. It takes very little time to charge it and it lasts a long time. The lighted tips are great to use with or without the dilator. There are two slightly different sized scooping spoons with a spring and spiral at the opposite ends. The entire set is very well made and comes with instructions for those who do not really know how to use each instrument. Anyone with children and/or grandchildren should have this set of tools. There are so many different uses for them besides just trying to clean ears out.

These are by no means medical grade. I bought this kit so I could get the was out of my husbands ears at home. They do the job.

Tons of tools to clean out your family and your own ears. Just please be careful with these tools. They can help remove chunky ear wax but you can damage your ears as well.I've been to an ear, nose & throat doctor and when he removed the 20 year old chunk of black wax q-tips had pushed down my ear canal bad enough that it Affected my hearing and lead me to the doctor. I’m telling you now that Q-tips are not the way to go to clean your ears!! If I would’ve had these tools, I could’ve handled It at home with the assistant’s of someone helping remove the hard wax. I'd recommend using a cotton ball in super warm water to soften the wax and begin using the tool with the light so you can see what you are looking for.BEST ADVISE: GET SOMEONE YOU TRUST & ARE COMFORTABLE WITH TO HELP. GO SLOW!!!

The only thing missing from this kit is something to soften the wax (warm cerumenex, oil or docusate), a 60 cc syringe, and an angiocatheter or other small Luer Lock tube to perform pulsatile irrigation manually with warm water. Manual pulsatile irrigation is the only sure way I have found to dislodge stubborn wax. The kit's lighted curette is an invaluable way to monitor your progress and check for trauma. I would NOT use this kit to remove foreign bodies unless you have experienced hands; even then, it's nearly impossible to get on the far side of the FB; usually a pediatric balloon urinary catheter is needed. But the price of this kit is unbeatable.

I thought I really needed this but really I don’t.

The media could not be loaded. I must admit.. I'm a little hooked on watching ear cleaning videos on Youtube. I talked with my cousin a c ouple of weeks ago and he told me how he had issues with dizziness and his equilibrium all because of the years of wax build up in his ears. I immediately sent him a ear wax removal kit as well as the pressurized spray bottle and hose. He LOVED it. he didn't realize how much wax accumulated.His situation made me think. Ear wax is a common thing but as i age I notice more and more. Ear wax is dead skin cells, bacteria, hair, dust and sweat combined. Some is ok, but a lot will hinder your hearing.That's where THIS kit comes in.. I love it.. It has almost everything you need minus the camera. First thing I did was clean the tools by soaking in alcohol. One thing I noticed with the dipper / scooper, you never know what end you're working with while it's in your ear, you could think you're scooping the wax when you're not. That's my only pet peeve. But overall, this kit will service your needs. It's extra helpful if you're using it on someone else though.

Seems over priced compared I just bought a version one for less 10 dollars.
