Dr. Scholl'swomens Brilliance Wide Calf Riding Boot

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS, BUT i AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THESE BOOTS THAT i'M COMPELLED TO WARN ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS!!! After wearing these boots 2-3 times, I noticed the outside of the heel was starting to FLAKE and peel off. So, not knowing the cause of this, I paid very careful attention the next two times I wore the boots to ensure I wasn't somehow causing this to happen. I am now certain that the damage to the heels is no fault of my own. To be honest, I'm not even sure how I could have caused this damage, short of INTENTIONALLY DRAGGING MY HEELS ALONG THE PAVEMENT WHILE SOMEONE WAS PULLING ME BY THE ARMS. Unfortunately, this appears to be just "typical" wear and tear, after 5-6 wears!!!!! For the price of the boots, THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING!!!! AT THE VERY LEAST, COULD THE COMPANY HAVE USED A MORE HEAVY DUTY PAPER AND/OR GLUE AROUND THE HEEL? As the paper is peeling and flaking off, what I can see of the heel underneath is dirty and stained.

My size is 9.5 but I ordered 11 and it fits great. Love the comfort but after wearing 3 hours there are faded discoloration bands around the ankle folds and the football (see attached pics). It is so comfortable and size 11 calf fits my 17.5 calf and I don't want to send it back. Please, someone, tell me how I can fix the gray fold lines!

I bought three pairs of black boots from Amazon this Winter, and these were the pair I kept. They were much cheaper than the others I ordered, and for a simple pair of black boots they did the trick. I'm normally a leather snob, but I wanted something inexpensive to get me through the rest of the Winter after my old pair bit the dust. I was surprised at how these looked (not overly "plastic-like"). I won't go over the top and say these looked just like real leather, but the quality of the upper was a pleasant surprise when I opened the box. Now for why it's not 5 stars: the first time I wore these they developed a white crease-mark across the toe. Most of my boots get a crease there, but I was not expecting it to be white. Finally, while the boots are quite comfortable for walking, you will feel cobblestones or rocks due to the flexibility of the sole. It's not terrible, but it is noticeable.

YAY!!! I have looked for 2! years for cute boots that will fit my thick foot.I ordered the wide calf size in hopes they would run wider in the foot. The calf is a bit big but the foot fits so i will deal.The top of my foot is really high so finding something in a boot is exceptionally hard because it squishes down on top. I wouldn't say that the sole of the boot is extra wide but a smidge bigger than others. The width of the calf is a lot larger than normal. I ordered black and they look like real leather. I had to read the inside to see if they were.Would recommend for someone looking for wide calf, a cute look and comfortable boot!

Size:: This is not the first Dr scholl's shoes I've owned. Previously, I have bought a size 10 which is my normal size. So that is what I ordered. I feel like they fit appropriately.Wide Calf Size:: there is a smidge of extra room around the top of my calves but not by much. I recently lost 45 pounds & I fear that if I hadn't done that these probably would not have fit my calves. Not sure what the calf width is compared to other side calf boots, something to consider when deciding to purchase.Comfort:: As always with Dr Scholl's shoes, the foot bed in the shoes are cushioned and comfortable. I have worn these once for running errands on a very cold rainy day. They kept my feet and calves dry & very warm.However, after an hour and a half of walking and driving, walking and driving my feet became very sore along the sides of my pinky toes as well as the ball joint of the feet. I've never needed to buy wide shoes for comfort reasons in the past, so I believe this is something that will fade away as the boots wear in. The heel is very slightly higher than boot heels I've bought in the past so that may okay a role as well.The boots are a somewhat soft leather like feel but also stiff in a manner that they stand on their own. You don't have to stuff the boots for them to stand upright in the closet.Durability:: I was disappointed to see that the heel is beginning to peel where the heel meets the soul of the shoe after only one wear. Something I'll have to keep an eye on, possibly super glue down if this becomes more noticeable.Packaging:: I appreciate that these boots are not bent in half on the claf & instead are packaged upright with no bending to the boots. I always feel this cheap poor packaging trick wears the boots down before you even buy them so I was happy to see the packaging!Overall:: I really like the boots! I think they're a classic style that won't fade away. They can easily be dressed up or down. For the price I think you get what you pay for. They're nice boots that seem durable considering they're not genuine leather. Contemplating a purchase of them in black!

I bought these boots a couple of months ago and, like some of the other reviewers, white areas starting appearing at the folds. So I used Kiwi Shine and Polish Cream on the white areas and it covered them fantastically and gave the boot an overall shine. They fit great and are really comfortable. I have never worn this type of boot before because I couldn't find one that fit my calves over jeans. But I've worn them to work almost every day since I got them and love them! I actually almost look forward to putting them on :)

I order these every year (usually from a famous Department Store) but saw them on Amazon for significantly less than I normally pay. They arrived quickly, the box was damaged, but the boots are in perfect (new) condition. I ordered the same size and calf width but they fit much tighter. I still like them and will order the black pair as well. I was complimented on them earlier this morning.

Love the wide calf and comfortable fit of these boots. It just got really cold where I live and this will protect my feet and make it possible for me to wear long dresses and leggings with ease all winter. Nice buttery feel to the leather. Zipper moves smoothly and the heel is just right for a walking commute. Looking for it in Brown so I can buy it again.

These boots were very pretty! Perfect for under a dress and skirt. But I have large calves had to send them back😥 the delivery was quick the return was quick the refund was quick. I should have measured my calves..

They fit great and are very comfortable. I don't believe they are real leather but the quality is still nice just the same. I have them in black and in brown. I really like the look of the brown as they kind of remind me of a cowboy boot. The black is nice as well just not as classy looking as the brown. I have a larger calf and they fit vey nicely compared to some other boots I have ordered. I would definitely recommend them.

I saw some other reviews about a cheep heel and took the risk anyway. I don't see them lasting long but for the sale price it wasn't a bad gamble. Super cute. I usually wear an 8 and meant to get a 9 as the reviews said they had a narrow toe but the 9's weren't on sale so I went 8.5 and they're actually the perfect fit. Hopefully I get a whole season out of these without the felted heels rubbing off lol

Very comfortable boot with a nice low rubber heel which is good for walking in. Does run a tad small so I would order a half size up, especially if you want to wear with thicker socks.
