CuisinartCGG-306 Replacement Cooking Grate 306-20087

I could not find the exact replacement for my PitBoss 2-burner portable grill. Reading the comments, another buyer pointed me to the Cuisinart CGG-306 Grate. The Grate is Stainless Steel Wrapped, sturdy, well made, and fits exactly for a super replacement. My grill is renewed for many grill sessions to come. Rather than pay $90 for a replacement for my Nexgrill portable, 2-burner barbeque, I bought this one and saved some real $$$. To make it work, I only needed to trim off two of the grates and the resulting grill fit perfectly. As an added bonus, this is a very high quality!

Purchased to replace the grate in a Cuisinart CGG-306 grill.First grate received was not welded correctly. Amazon replaced it. The second grate dropped into the grill exactly right. Feels heavy, solid, and strong. Works great! I downgraded one star because of needing to reorder.Note that this grill has a three-year warranty from the manufacturer. For myself, I just ordered a new grate since the original one gave me hundreds of grilling events. Literally, hundreds! I felt I wore out that first grate. However, there is a 3-year warranty available from Cuisinart, if needed.

I have been using this small Cuisinart grill for the past 7 years now. I use it often all year round. For me, the only thing that really "fails" with this grill is the grate and the burner covers. I do have Grillgrates on my grill that rest on top of the mfr supplied grate, but the way I use my grill, this does not last. These are SS grates, but there are at least 20 grades of SS. Some grades rust, others do not. This grade of SS rusts so I do need to replace them. I NEVER clean my grill though. They way I do clean it is with high heat to burn everything off. This is harder on the grate and my last grate was nothing by resting rusted bars that were not even soldered together anymore. It was ok for a while because I only really need them to support my Grillgrates. Glad to have finally found the replacement grate though. Just as the original in this case.I also found another necessary part that is weak from the mfr., the burner covers, heat shield, flavorizer bars, heat plate, drip covers...... whatever you call the 2 pieces that cover and protect the burners. I found a THICK and non-magnetic set here on Amazon for $20. I can't bend them if I stand on them. They should last MUCH MUCH longer than the original supplied part. Perfect size

I've got an off-branded "stainless" grill purchased through a big-box store. The rest of the unit was fine but the cooking grate had started to split/rust. I tried searching for a replacement via the original manufacturer with no luck. Through a bunch of google searches I was able to figure out my grill was the same form-factor as the Cuisinart. This lead me to this replacment grate.So far it looks and performs just like the original. Only time will tell if this one stand up any better to heat cycles and the elements. I'll likely be needing the "flavor bars" or whatever they call the metal angle pieces covering the burners pretty soon. I'll be looking for the Cuisinart version of those too....
