Gave this beautiful box of chocolates to my Mum. She is a real chocolate lover and she really loved them. Then she couldnt bring herself to throw away the lovely box!!!

You need to be a true lover of dark bitter chocolate to appreciate these truffles. The strength of the chocolate totally masked any flavour from the champagne for me. Could not detect any alcohol and personally I would imagine a stronger taste from a spirit would be better placed to marry with this type of dark strong chocolate, than the more delicate champagne. 5 pretty small truffle balls but that's what you get from something weighing just over 30g but the richness of these means I'd be hard pressed to manage more than a couple at any point. Very attractively decorated small box, I wonder how much of which is reflected in the overall price!? Small box size fits inside the palm of one's hand perfectly.

I am a seasoned chocolate connoisseur, and this particular chocolate is one the very best milk chocolates available. Do not ever be fooled by taste alone......quality chocolate is also about the ingredients. The sugar MUST be cane sugar. If chocolate contains refined white sugar, then it's no good at all, it's just a commercial product manufactured purely for profit. There are several websites claiming to sell ''fine'' chocolate, but it's not fine at all if it contains white sugar. This chocolate tastes very similar to a Venezuelan type of milk chocolate which I buy directly from the owner of the small farm in Venezuela, who produce 40 kilos a month only. I highly recommend Willies Cacao Milk of the Gods for it's superb, top quality taste and ingredients.

This is the most exquisite chocolate you can find. Complex flavours make this a wonder to let just melt on your tongue. If this gave me all my recommended daily nutrition I'd eat it all day long happily.

I brought these as a gift so I can't vouch for their taste. I was however very disappointed when they arrived to see how small the box was!! Misleading photo showing what I now know to be 110g box, when what you're actually buying is only 35g. Yes, I know it states the weight in the description but I was naively expecting to receive the amount of truffles depicted in the photo. Am sure I won't be only one to fall into this trap!
