What a spectacular, thoughtful homage to the groundbreaking work of Anna Atkins. This oversized book is gorgeously produced (really, it should probably cost 4x more than what it's priced at) and has scads of huge images which are the most faithful reproductions of Atkins' work I've ever seen. It's absolutely lovely, and you needn't be a photonerd to appreciate its beauty. Get one before the edition sells out!

A lovely review of cyanotype art prints from a bygone era!

This is a superb introduction to the art of the cyanotype in general & the exquisite work of Anna Atkins in particular. Lavish, rich, large reproductions of her plates reveal detail & depth, and invite reflective contemplation, as if dwelling on photographs of Heaven. The text provides both biographical information & a critical appreciation of the work, placing it in its own time & also viewing it from a longer perspective. But above all, it's the beauty of the plates themselves that'll bring the reader back to this sumptuous volume again & again. Most highly recommended!

If you love cyanotype this book is a must have. Beautiful and large images of the most beautiful prints can look at it over and over again!

Anyone interested in cyanotype printing should have this book - it is delightful.
