The Viewsonics VSMA-611C is an 1-port (15dB) amplifier. One port amplifiers are the easiest to install, and are best suited for connecting to your incoming cable line before you start splitting off the line to go to multiple TVs. The VSMA-601C is generally the best for use in existing installations, since it is easy to install, hook up power with cable IN and cable OUT with coax cable (not included). The unique styling of the VSMA-611C provides connection on the SIDE of the amplifier rather than the top. Connections are easier to manage, especially in restricted spaces! The VSMA-611C housing simplifiers installations in drop boxes and limited access spaces and easees cable radius problems. It is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Easy to install, hook up power with cable IN and cable OUT with coax cable (not included). Includes Power Supply. The VSMA-611C features include 6kV combination wave surge protection on the FG input port and 6kV ring wave surge protection on RF output/remote power port. This is the highest level of surge protection available. In addition, all ports are nickel-plated, precision-machined brass with 360 stule F Port inserts and are hermetically sealed to withstand 30psi of pressure for 60 seconds. The zinc die cast housing is triple plated for maximum corrosion resistance, even in the harshest environment. The unit can be powered by the 110/VAC/12VDC power adapter included or with an optional power inserter (sold separately)

Works great
Used this to boost the output of a satellite box into the wall. Note that I did not put this on the satellite input side, the cables that go to the dish! You need special gain adapters for that line because of the signal and usually you are multiplexing multiple dish signals together into one. This was used on the TV2 Output of a Dish Network box. This is supposed to run to another TV so you can use 1 receiver with 2 tuners to watch 2 shows on 2 TV's. However I took this output through this booster and then fed it into the cable outlet that was installed with the house. Because we do not have cable, this wire had no signal on it. So now TV2 runs through the entire house's cable outlet and any TV plugged into the wall will pick it up.Works great.

Best, low cost RF mini home amplifier
This product is being used for OTA TV reception. It is replacing the normal, full sized, low noise model (NOT a Viewsonics model however) that just died after 4 years of operation. The full size version costs twice as much and you get no more performance than what this mini offers. Easy hook up and I again now get some distant stations from another city so we can watch football games that aren't locally televised. Highly recommended for antenna applications.

Does the expected.
My cable service (Comcast) worked well for non-digital content and continued to work acceptably after I added two more outlets with cable box decoders (total of three full-service televisions in the living room, bedroom and kitchen). Comcast also provided two more (no additional service charges or equipment rental fee) modems which I installed for televisions in the second bedroom and in my wife's sewing and crafts room. Following an "upgrade" by Comcast during which they replaced their Cat 5 coax to the home with Cat 6 cable and a later change to an all digital format (thus making a cable box necessary for every viewing device connected to the system) a gradual deterioration in signal was evident. Loss of signal strength seen as stutter or slowing and blurring in scene transitions and or actual interruption of picture and sound happened more often and with greater ill effect. I upgraded my self-installed signal splitter, with one input and five output channels, and replaced my Cat 5 distribution cables with Cat 6 grade. Those measures gave some improvement but the two televisions at the greatest distance from the splitter (each with runs over 50 feet) still suffered low signal strength. After installing the Viewsonics HDTV booster the problem was resolved. We now get satisfactory pictures and sounds on each of the five televisions attached to the system. Note: through all of the changes made by Comcast and myself the internet and phone services to which we also subscribe as "triple-play" subscribers continued to work acceptably.

The Viewsonics TV Signal Amplifier Works Great.
This tv signal amplifier solved my tv signal problem. I have two signal splitters about 75 ft from the antenna. And the tv's are another 75 ft from the splitters. I located the Viewsonics signal amplifier next to the antenna, and it amplifies the signal so that all my tv's get good signals. I used a power inserter located near the splitters to send power to the amplifier since the antenna is in the attic where there is no electric outlet.

Good Product, Just Not Made For Certain Areas.
We live in an Studio Apartment, in Queens, NY. This product does work somewhat. It did pull in more channels on our TV, than without it. The area is not good for regular TV reception with an In-Door Antenna. But I can say without this product we would not have gotten a few more channels. This product is good if you don't live around a area with really low regular TV reception. Package very well, easy to install, easy instructions and fast delivery from Amazon.

Didn't Work
Pros: Item was well packaged and arrived quickly (about two days).Cons: Did not work- and in fact made the signal worse.I purchased this to boost the signal from my cable company. I had been experiencing occasional intermitent signals and drops for months, and multiple calls and visits from the cable company did nothing to improve the situation. I needed internet and tv to be boosted through the device. However, once I set it up and made all the connections, the signal deteriorated to the point where I had no internet, or tv. I tried several different connections and cables, with no improvement in signal. The instructions for installation were straigt forward, but contacting customer service was a challenge.Overall, I gave it one star fast delivery and easy returns. Zero stars for a product that does not work.

Icing On The Cake
Used the Viewsonics VSMA-611C before the antenna splitter, in-line with a down feed from a Winegard HD8200U Platinum Series HDTV antenna and a Winegard AP-8275 Preamplifier to go to 4 tv outlets and it has greatly improved the picture quality on all the tvs.If you are looking for the best picture quality your tv can produce I would definitely recommend the Viewsonics VSMA-611C as a necessary add-on.5-STARS

Channels look like cable TV
I have installed this in two different locations in the city.In each case, the reception was great. The over-the-air channels looked like cable TV quality.I installed both using the amp on a RCA ANT751 Durable Compact Outdoor Antenna. Both locations are about 40 miles from the broadcaster's antenna locations.
