Amazing/Stylish/Great Storage/Sturdy
DVD/CD Storage I had over 1100 dvds and needed storage. Bought 2. Easy to put together for my husband, looks very stylish and is quite sturdy. Extra shelves for different dimensions for all kinds of media Storage. Loved it so much, bought another for my CD collection. I very rarely do reviews, but felt I needed to because this product was better than I could have ever imagined. You can't go wrong.

Well Designed Quality Product
I have purchased a fair amount of furniture online that required assembly. In my experience, the first test that determines your happiness is the shipping journey. In fact, large and heavy product has an increased likelihood of arriving damaged. So well packed product is extremely important and I am delighted to say that Prepac did a commendable job protecting the product. I had no issues whatsoever with damaged parts. There have been some review complaints I read relating to sawdust in the carton, but it really was nothing a handy vacuum could not address.Assembly was simple and straightforward, there were no missing parts and the wood was finished perfectly. The instructions were basic and straightforward and maybe a bit more detail would have been welcomed to speed up assembly time. Also, having a helper for some steps may be advisable, but I assembled by myself without issue. The shelf configurations for various height needs are numerous. The unit is stable on carpet but I suggest securing to wall for safety and peace of mind as recommended in the instructions with the supplied hardware. A few other mentions. The product is shipped in two cartons, which I thought was a smart decision to stabilize weight distribution and reduce potential shipping damage. This model I chose has thicker vertical supports which can hide a DVD on the ends when storing vertically. Some may have issue with this, but I prefer the look of the thicker verticals and can live with this minor issue. In the unlikely event there are missing, damaged or defective parts Prepac has clear instructions to address this unfortunate situation. They state a 2 business day turnaround time for replacement parts.I am very happy with the product and absolutely recommend to anyone who desires an attractive product to store and display your DVD movies.

Pretty nice but not for the price
I purchased this shelving unit once I tired of stacking my cds next to my older, small particle board unit. I must say it was my first choice after browsing and that I debated on this item for months before finally purchasing it and I am quiet impressed with this purchase. The most positive feature in this unit is it's smoother finish. I do not expect or foresee the black finish peeling off as some peel and paste particle board units tend to do. Also, because the shelves are about 16 inches, the odds of them bowing under the wait of your disc is going to be rather slim. The negative features are the 4 aesthetic beams and upper trim. You will have to leave those three upper trim pieces off in order to use your top shelf. Otherwise, you will lose capacity for about 90 disc and cases. It will look perfectly fine without them should you choose to leave them off. The vertical beams will also cause you to lose visibility of 4 cds per shelve which is about 30 cds all together. I would leave those on for aesthetic reasons, but in terms of support they are not needed.Be very careful hammering in the nails to secure the 3 part cardboard backing (which in itself is a negative). I found myself only using about 8 or 10 nails as the center and side supports are not wide enough to support the nails. You will more than likely split the wood trying to put them in (I did twice). The best thing to do is secure the top and bottoms of each piece and leave the center alone. As it is the back, it is not that big of a deal, but the backing is a MAJOR part in the support of the unit. It will keep it from swaying. The assembly instructions are a bit odd and if you follow them, you will be confused. In all honesty, you will be better off using your own common sense to assemble the unit. Unpack the big pieces, lay them out appropriately and then step back. Make sure the black, finished sides of the pieces are showing, make sure all the holes line up and go from there. The instructions in all honesty seem to assemble the unit backwards/upside down. It's strange and a waste of time.I am a 23 year old female, but I am rather hands on, so all in all it made sense more or less. I could assemble the unit alone, but I needed a second pair of hands to move the finished product. The price alone is not balanced and is the biggest flaw. The only reason I buckled down and bought it was because I had a pretty large gift card that cut the listing price in half. However, after shipping the price is a bit much so this is a big investment otherwise. All in all I rate this item with 4 stars of 5 only because of the odd trim that blocks the view of your collection. I would take your time shopping around for a shelving unit, but if you do purchase something here online, I would highly, highly recommend this unit.[EDIT] It's 2012 now, and the unit is still working well. I am in the process of purchasing another as my collection has grown yet again. I found that the backing, even after hammering in all of the nails isn't sturdy. If it weren't for the wall, my cases would be falling behind the unit. I've noticed that some of the shelves are shorter and slip off of their metal pegs from time to time. I later discovered that the unit is bowing outwards. This is no fault of the manufacturer. You see, I have 10 stacks of 30 or so cds on top of the unit ( which is why I am buying another) and the weight is causing the unit to buckle outwards. Every blue moon I have to push the outward facing wall in, and after that the shelves stop slipping.I doubt these issue would affect anyone else, but I wanted to note the changes in the unit after 2 years of use. The trim is still near mint, no peeling, no chips and no warping. A great investment! Still 4 stars though....

Love it!
No issues with shipping and no damage to product. Wood is beautiful and durable. Easy to assemble; stores all my manga, games, DVDs, blu-rays, 4Ks, accessories, and even a few VHS tapes that I had room for. If there was a scratch, it was an easy fix with the wood marker they provide in the packaging. I may buy a smaller one in the future for the last of my VHS momentos.

Excellent product
I ordered two of these shallow barristers cabinet to display hubby’s model cars. It arrived on time and well packaged. No damages and all screws and parts were there. Not too difficult to build and finished products were of excellent quality. It is a shallow cabinet so double check the measurements. Cars in clamshell packages fit nicely. Perfect display cabinet for toy cars!!! Happy to give it 5 stars.

Excellent. Easy to put together!
This is a must have for video game collectors. This is my second one and it is the best way to display video games. Took an hour total to put together but for a first timer shouldn't take longer than 2. Highly recommended.
