Very poorly designed product, horrible customer service
So I'm a pretty tech-savvy guy (I work in IT systems management), and I was completely unable to do anything to get this product to work in two different locations. I even tried returning the purchased unit for a new one thinking it was defective, but the replacement product didn't work either. The sender was unable to form any connection to the receiver.I thought that maybe the problem was caused by radio frequency (RF) interference being emitted from some electronic source in my house, so I turned off power at the circuit breakers to every circuit except the one I plugged the device into. Even with no other electronics operating within 1,000 feet, this product still didn't work.So after carefully following all the steps in the manual several times over and not getting any connection, I called customer service. The first call, I first talked to someone in India, who took the model number then placed me on hold for about 10 minutes before transferring me to someone else. After waiting on hold again for about 15 minutes, the next person I spoke with was thankfully fully fluent in English, but she said she couldn't help me and told me she needed to transfer me to a different agent who could assist me. She transferred me back to India, and a different agent again took my model number, knowing nothing of my previous two conversations with other agents. He then transferred me again to someone else, and I was placed on hold again, but while I was on hold again I kept being transferred somewhere else because I'd hear it ring, then the hold music and the automatic message voice would change. After about 3 of these mysterious transfers while on hold, I got transferred to a recorded message that said he was unable to complete my call and that I should call back to the 800 number that I had called originally.I did call back, and the very nice Indian gentleman with whom I spoke then proceeded to read verbatim the instructions from the manual I had already tried. He said that beyond that, there was nothing he could do to assist me, and that I should return the product the retailer for a refund because it did not work. Not only is this product expensive and completely nonfunctional, even for an IT professional, but Rocketfish's customer service is absolutely the worst I think I have ever experienced with any product ever.Needless to say, I do not recommend you purchase this or any other Rocketfish product. Any company that would sell such a poorly engineered product is not worthy of your business.

Does the trick but range is limited.
My experience with these Rocketboost products has been a mixed bag so far. When they work, the resulting sound is great! They are extremely sensitive to location and walls though.I've purchased two of the RF-RBKIT bundles and one of the RF-RBAUX units as well. I've got one configured as a hub in my media cabinet driving a set of rear surround speakers in our living room. This arrangement has worked flawlessly and the receiver drives my surround speakers perfectly. The sound is great! I liked them so much I bought a second pair for the family room and hooked them up to stream music from our office PC. Once again the sound is great but they are plagued by intermittent cutting out during playback that's really annoying. You may get several songs without a hitch and then suddenly get several annoying drop-outs on one track. It seems totally random. The two units are probably no more than 40 feet apart but they seems to be very sensitive to location. You will even find that standing near the sender unit is a particular location will cause it to drop out. Take a small step backward or side to side and the signal returns. I even tried putting one of the senders configured just to be a hub as close to the middle of the house as possible, but it had no effect on the cutting out problem.I would say if you are want to stream from one room to another on the same floor you will be happy with it, but streaming audio between floors could be a problem regardless of the distance. Still, they are so easy to use over shorter distances that they are worth taking a chance with them. Caveat Emptor!

Too bad BB doesn't carry it anymore.
I really like these systems to spread music around the house without having to lay a lot of wires. But Best Buy no longer carries it and won't support it. They do have it in their Canadian stores but refuse to ship it (sorry, we can't process American credit cards). That said, I found a couple available on line and stocked up. Works out on the front porch also, although I keep it covered when not in use. Not too many receivers by themselves, so bought this to get the receiver, and also gives me a spare transmitter if that goes bad.

Rocketfish Universal Wireless HD
A great solution for connecting my rear speakers wirelessly. Great sound and easy setup. I do notice from time to time the sound will go out very briefly for like a second sporadically.

Difficult to setup
I wasn't impressed with the product. Felt like my speakers took a loss in signal even though I tried boosting the signal, but nothing helped. So, eventually returned this product.

It was horrible and difficult to connect to the wireless. Sucks!
This item came highly recommended on the internet, but in actuality is sucks. The hook up to the wireless was difficult and it simply did not work. I would not recommend it to anyone. One more thing it did not come with a set of troubleshooting instructions, which if they did I may have been able to figure it out.

Flawless. Does exactly what I needed.
Excellent product - does exactly what I needed to get signal to my rear surround speakers. The only real drawback is their size, they're pretty large for wireless transmitter/receivers. They work well and were easy to set up - they can be expanded for a number of other setups as well. Would definitely recommend.

Run away from this junk!
This has only worked well at a distance of 5 yards unobstructed distance between the transmitter and receiver. Past that, the signal cuts out, and that is so freaking annoying. It's a piece of garbage. No support. Neat idea, but these folks built it really poorly.
