Excellent Performance, Value, Customer Support
5-STAR WATER FILTRATION PERFORMANCE WITH NO LEAKS 5-STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH LIVE USA BASED, KNOWLEDGABLE TECH SUPPORT I’d researched residential water filtration systems for a while. I kept coming back to iSpring. BEFORE YOU BUY: MEASURE YOUR WATER PRESSURE (PSI) AND TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS (TDS/PPM) then contact iSpring and they’ll recommend the system optimized for your unique water issues. I purchased a ppm digital water meter for around $20 at plumbing supply store, ran my ‘cold’ sink water and wrote down my ppm. Install a water pressure gauge (psi gauge) which may require a plumber, or purchase a gauge with a female threaded end to connect to a garden hose or utility sink with a threaded faucet. Last resort is if you are on municipal water, call your city water department, provide your address and ask for the psi to your address, they’ll give you an ‘estimated’ psi range. Record your ‘static’ psi readings when no water is running in the building. A psi reading, when water is flowing, may result in a slightly lower reading (depending on how the building is plumbed). If you are in a multi-family dwelling, verify if you are on separate water meters, if not, try and take several readings at low water use times, such as early mornings before neighbors wake, then calculate the average psi. Call iSpring, give them your ppm and static psi readings. They will advise you on the correct system to meet your unique water ppm and psi readings. Low psi residences may require an iSpring system with a water pressure pump, whereas high psi residences may require a system with an iSpring factory preset pressure reducer. iSpring is engineered to provide optimum performance between 45-70 static psi. The closer you can get to 70 psi, without going over, the better the RO filter will work and last. iSpring provides 5-STAR product support. I called and spoke to Nick a customer support manager, a real U.S.A. based professionally trained tech support specialist who has the answers memorized and is not reading a script. Inside the shipping box flap is a QR code. I suggest you scan it and watch the highly produced installation video and use it often. Each installation step has individually wrapped corresponding parts with individual installation instruction booklets. Installation is fool-proof. When you install and begin cutting tubes, never cut with scissors, pilers, serrated blades or knife. Each locking clip has a tab, the tab must always face the tube and not fitting. I had no leaks first time out. Mount the filter metal manifold - with the 3 pre-filters - before you flush them, as flushing the system with water will add weight and make it difficult for one person to lift and mount it. I suggest getting some scrap 2”x4” lumber or brick pavers to rest the pre-filter canisters on while you mark your screw holes with your sharpie marker. Be certain to mount the bracket high enough to leave room below to remove the pre-filter canisters. Install mounting screws, check for fit, then place the system on a towel on the floor during the entire installation process to assure full view of all fittings and inspect for leaks. Hang the filter manifold as your last step, leave the tube slack and zip tie them out of the way. The 3 Pre-filter canister O-rings are loose fit into a groove and should be installed vertically into the manifold to prevent the O-rings from unseating while you hand tighten. Don’t lay the canisters down to install them. Once installed, stand the filter system on a towel on the floor, then begin the filter flush step as directed and watch for leaks. If leaks appear, use the wrench turning it slowly until the leak stops, then stop tightening. This prevents over tightening and leaking. iSpring systems are designed to operate in a maximum ambient temperature of 100 degrees F. For hot climates, I suggest purchasing 3M Company adhesive cupboard door stops. They are rubber pads with glue backing. Stick them on the inside of your frame so they contact the cupboard door and create a gap between your cupboard door and frame to allow air circulation. Hang a thermometer in the cupboard to be sure. After installing your iSpring system, the remineralization stage releases more minerals over time as it breaks-in, so your ppm will increase. Furthermore, your static water pressure (psi) has an inverse relation to remineralization. The higher the psi, the lower the minerals released. A psi close to 70 will increase system filtering, life of your RO filter and decrease waste water. CONCLUSION: From my experience: iSpring provides world-class product support and filtration system. My water system has no leaks, and is currently providing water, with minerals added, at 10 ppm. It is clear and delicious. iSpring is American engineered and backed by 'Nick' their expert live American-based customer support manager iSpring RCC7AK-UV All components tested by and passed/exceeded NSF/ANSI 58 Certified Standards iSpring will advise you on the proper system when you provide your water ppm and static psi readings and support you through your entire DIY installation

AMAZING REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER SYSTEM
I’ve been very impressed with the iSpring RCC7AK reverse osmosis system. The improvement in water quality was immediate — clean, crisp, and smooth tasting. The alkaline remineralization stage is a big plus and really makes the water taste better than bottled water. Installation was straightforward, and the system has been running flawlessly. Filter replacements are easy and reasonably priced, which makes this a great long-term investment. I also want to highlight iSpring’s customer support, especially Nick, who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions, addressed my specific needs, and made the whole process stress-free. It’s rare to get that level of support these days. Overall, this is a high-quality system from a company that truly stands behind its product. I would definitely recommend the iSpring RCC7AK to anyone looking for cleaner, better-tasting water.

Fantastic, hands down
I’ve wanted one of these filters for years now, once I learned a bit about the chlorine, fluoride, and microplastics in my tap water. While my wife and son drink water from our Brita pitcher, I normally would just drink from our kitchen sink where the water isn’t as cold and not as painful for my sensitive teeth. I drink about two pots of coffee a day, take 1/2 gallon of water with me to work each day, and drink probably another 1/2 gallon per day while I’m home. It’s a lot of tap water! When I first discovered these filters, we were renting an apartment, so it didn’t seem worth the effort to install. Once we bought our house, there were a million other things to spend money on first! 2.5 years since we moved in, a solid Black Friday sale coupled with our wedding anniversary finally made this purchase happen. I ordered it at 11:00am this morning, and it was at my door before 2:00pm same day. I ended up installing the filters in my basement, directly underneath the kitchen sink, to save some space. The water tank is under the sink, for now (I may also move that to the basement). Having the filters in the basement made the install a bit slower, having to go up and down the stairs a bunch, but all in all it took me about 2.5 hours to install. I needed a drill to mount the filter rack to the wall, but other than that the only tool I needed was a pair of channel locks. The process was straightforward, and there was no point in time that I was confused as to what my next steps were. The only thing that tripped me up was the reverse osmosis filter itself, but that was only because I didn’t fully seat it in its housing at first. Once I fully popped it in, the housing cap screwed on, no problem The push-to-connect fittings are very easy to work with, and I had no leaks once I brought the system to pressure. There’s even an included auto-stop valve that’s supposed to detect leaks and shut off the water automatically, which is a great peace of mind. The instructions direct you to visually check the install each day for the first two weeks. I’ll be doing that, but knowing that auto-stop is on there still makes me feel much better about things (I’m an electrician, not a plumber lol). Not wanting to use the drain saddle, I ran my drain line directly to the utility sink in my basement. I didn’t plan for it, but being able to physically see water leaving the drain is a convenient way to be able to tell if the system is actively filtering water in the moment, or whether the tank is full The water tastes great, better than the Brita in my opinion. I bought the version that has the Alkaline filter final stage to remineralize the water for taste, and I’m happy with that decision. Highly filtered water often tastes bland, but that’s not the case with this unit. I could fill up a bottle for some fancy spring water with this stuff, and I doubt anyone would notice there’s a difference Product quality seems solid, and the reviews lead me to believe it’ll all hold up for years to come. The faucet is a little wobbly, but I understand it can’t be too tight without risking failure. The flow rate from the faucet is perfectly adequate for a glass of water, too. Not as fast as the tap, but that’s to be expected. Tomorrow it’ll get put to the real test, when I fill up my 1/2 gallon water bottle and brew a pot of coffee. The reservoir tank supposedly holds 2.6gallons though, so I don’t foresee any issues. The rest of the family wakes up hours later, and the tank will no doubt be refilled by that point. On initial startup, the first tankful took about 1.5 hours to fill up. Per the instructions, I then poured that first tank out, presumably to remove any potential manufacturing contaminants. That waiting game for the first good glass of water was probably the hardest part of the whole install I’ve wanted one of these things for years. I finally purchased and installed one today, and I’m incredibly happy with the end result. I wish I did it sooner, but the next best time is today, right? The company seems to stand behind their products in terms of warranty and returns, and at such an attractive price, there’s really not much risk in giving this filter a shot in your home. I think you’ll be as satisfied as I am!

Great Water Quality & Even Better Support After a Missing Part
I’m really happy with the iSpring RCC7AK now that it’s up and running, but the experience started with a major hiccup. When I unboxed the unit to begin installation, I discovered the Faucet was completely missing from the package. It was frustrating to have to halt the project before I even started. However, I contacted support and worked with Nick, who was outstanding. He acknowledged the issue immediately and sent a replacement faucet via expedited shipping that same day. While the missing part was a hassle, the customer service from Nick was top-tier and saved the experience. Installation & Performance Once the faucet arrived, the actual install took about 1.5 hours. It was much easier than I first thought, especially with the quick-connect fittings. The Tank: The design is great - it only needs a single water tube and works via air pressure (has a Schrader valve). It’s been working perfectly. Water Quality: The taste is excellent. The 6-stage process makes a noticeable difference. One Recommendation The YouTube installation videos are still very helpful, but iSpring should really refresh them. Several parts in the videos seem to be for an older version of the filter, which can be a bit confusing during the process.

Easy to install, great instructions, amazing water
This reverse osmosis was packaged with great care, and it arrived without any damage. The instructions were amazing and made it easy to follow. There were even colors and pictures/diagrams so you know you’re assembling it correctly. The instructions are filled with tips likely based on other people‘s mistakes. These tips saved me a lot of time and heartache. After I was finished with the installation, I checked for leaks, and there were none. The water tastes delicious, and I’m so excited that it’s remineralized. Other reverse osmosis systems that don’t remineralize leave you feeling bloated. Whenever you drink the water, the faucet is classy and easy to use. The water pressure is as expected, and the water is completely clear. They sell packages of filters making it easy to change the filters when due.

Easy to install, great water
Relatively easy to connect hoses and everything in the correct order, but be patient because set up takes time. There is extra time to do the initial filter rinse, then you have to fill the reservoir tank and empty it twice, then you can drink after the third fill. But the time is well worth it, the water tastes great and it's a massive improvement from my tap water. One more thing I didn't know is that for every 1 gallon of drinkable water, 3-4 gallons of "waste water" is produced and that is the water that flushes your RO filter and makes your filter last longer. Even then it is still pennies to operate compared to bottled water. I have already recommended this system to all of my family members because it's absolutely worth more than the cost and time to install plus there's always clean water.

It was time to upgrade our simple 2-stage water filtration system!
The old Sears 2-stage carbon water filter wasn't good enough. It made the water taste better, but didn't remove the unwanted dissolved solids. We were still buying bottled water, which taste better. It was time to move up to a RO - reverse osmosis water filtration system! ► NOTICE - This product review was originally published on April 17, 2017, but it disappeared so I resubmitted it! The pros: + I happened across a killer deal of $142.78 with free Amazon shipping when I bought this in 2016! + Pretty good customer product reviews. + Excellent customer technical support! My questions were quickly answered via e-mail. + Push together - quick connect fitting with 4-color tubing make the installation very easy! + Advertised - eliminates the need to transport and dispose of bottled water. + Advertised - filters 1,000+ water pollutants including common adversaries chlorine and fluoride. + Advertised - thin-film composite semi-permeable RO membrane filters down to 0.0001 micron (a human hair is approximately 50 microns). + Advertised - the RCC7 has a 75 gallons per day rating. + Advertised - DIY filter installation with written instructions, video & technical support assistance. Fits under sink cabinets. + Advertised - product dimensions - 14.5 x 5.2 x 17.5 inches. + Advertised - item weight - 25 pounds. + Advertised - Water Quality Association (WQA) Gold Seal Certified. + Advertised - 1 year money-back guarantee. + Advertised - lifetime support from iSpring in Alpharetta, GA at (678) 261-7611. The cons: - I needed longer plastic tubing for our installation. The provided 10' lengths were too short. ◄ iSpring will provide longer tubing. - From the installation manual: Water pressure to the unit is no less than 40 psi. If it's below 40 psi, you will need to add a booster pump. If the water pressure is greater than 80 psi, you will need to install a pressure regulator. Our water pressure was above 80 psi, so this added to the system cost. - We didn't care for the provided brushed nickel finished faucet didn't match our fixtures. ◄ iSpring will work with you to provide a faucet that fits your installation. - Water is wasted to produce purified water. The ratio of brine - waste water to RO purified water is 2:1 to 3:1. Meaning 2 to 3 gallons of water is wasted to produce 1 gallon of purified water. ◄ For those that are concerned about wasted water. Also see my waste water recycling notes below. - Advertised - origin, China. ◄ for those that prefer to buy products made in the USA. Our installation: ▪ Our previous Sears filtration system was installed in the garage, so that was the logical place to install this filter system upgrade. This is next to the water heater ► cold water source & next to the washing machine ► a place to run the brine -waste water line. ▪ The purified water storage tank was positioned on its side in our installation, so it would fit on a storage shelf. ▪ I opted to purchase an inexpensive plastic tubing cutter, a PneumaticPlus TC nylon PVC PU plastic tube & hose cutter. Not required, but it cuts the tubing perfectly making the installation proceed faster. Here's the Amazon link: PneumaticPlus TC Nylon PVC PU Plastic Tube & Hose Cutter Cut Up To 3/4" OD (Drip Tubing Cutter) (1) ▪ I also purchased a TSPITOOL quick connect release tool, which is also not required, but does make releasing a connector much easier. In addition, it will set the lock in preparation for the locking clips. Here's the Amazon link: Quick Connect Tubing Release Tools For 1/4" or 3/8" Connectors (TSPITOOL) ▪ It seemed like a waste to toss the old Sears 2-stage filter housing, so I decided to retain it with different filters... sediment prefilters. Stage 1 is 20 micron & stage 2 is 10 micron, both sediment filters. The output of this 2-stage filter connects to iSpring RO - reverse osmosis stage 1, 5 micron sediment filter. ▪ To keep an eye on the system water pressure, I installed a water pressure gauge. This is VERY handy, as the reading drops when purified water is being produced & levels off as the purified water tank is full. After a few cycles, you have the normal readings. ▪ After the water filtration system had been in operation awhile, I started to wonder when the brine - waste water was flowing. My concern was a failed ASOV - automatic shutoff valve failure which could allow constant waste water flow. To provide a visual indication of brine - waste water flow, I installed a Rotameter LZM-15 flow meter. See my attached pictures. This flow meter won't work as it comes, but with a simple modification (see my flow meter product review for details), it will provide a visual indication of when brine - waste water is flowing. Here's the Amazon link: Uxcell a11120300ux0019 1/2" Female Thread 0.2-2.0 GPM 1-7 LPM Water Liquid Inline Flowmeter Rotameter LZM-15 ▪ We can redirect the RO brine - waste water into a recovery container so this perfectly good water can be recycled. During the summer the RO brine - waste water is used to water our raised bed vegetable garden & flower beds. During the winter we use the RO brine - waste water in the washing machine wash cycle. Closing remarks: ▪ Since this RO - reverse osmosis water filtration system was installed, there has been no need to buy distilled or bottled drinking water. ▪ The flow rate from our kitchen mounted faucet, about 15 feet away from the filtration system, is 0.5 gallons (1/2 gallon) per minute. ▪ System startup, first TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) reading: tap - city water = 100 to 98 ppm ► RO - reverse osmosis water = 3 to 4 ppm ▪ You will have to replace the filtration system filters in about a year... the RO membrane can last a 2 to 3 years (depending on the quality of your water source), so it's wise to start shopping around for replacement filters. These can be found reasonably priced, if you don't need them right away & can shop around. I have enough filters on hand for 2+ years. :) ► Update - June 7, 2017 ▪ The RO - reverse osmosis water filtration system has been working perfectly! Since we installed this water filtration, there been no need to purchase bottled water. ▪ On my recent TDS - total dissolved solids test. Tap water = 110 ppm & the RO water = 9 ppm. ▪ The city water... tap water TDS, shown above, is 110 ppm. The RO brine - waste water TDS is about 20 ppm higher. ▪ It's summer, so we're recycling the RO brine - waste water in the raised bed vegetable garden & to water the flower beds. ▪ We have to admit the amount of brine - waste water was a bit shocking, when we started saving it, but that is the nature of the RO - reverse osmosis water filtration system. 2:1 to 3:1... meaning, amount of brine - waste water >to> purified water produced. This isn't too bad if you can recycle the waste water! ▪ The city we live in calculates our sewer billing on the amount of water we use, so it makes sense to recycle the RO brine - waste water! ► Update - October 24, 2019 ▪ The system has been working perfectly, still on the original filter! The TSD has gone up slightly & the brine -waste water is running 3:1 or more, so the system filter replacement is on our to do list! ▪ I added a new picture of our six 5 gallon black buckets we use to save our brine - waste water to be recycled.

Great RO system
This RO system is great! It was not to difficult at all your install. I followed the YouTube video. When I got ot all put together and turned on the waterflow, there was a leak. With a brief messaging back and forth with customer support im, it was fixed fairly quickly. Once I went through all the filling and draining, another snag! The faucet had a constant leak. It did take a bit to get through to customer support via email, but they followed through and sent a new faucet quickly and to my satisfaction. The water tastes amazing! I'm in AZ and tap water is gross! I am so happy I bought and installed this system.
