I did not get what was advertised. I bought 5 big and 5 small and instead got 7 big ones. This does not help me, I bought the 5 big 5 small for a reason. I would like what i bought.

These are significantly better than your standard SS split ring. Very strong and well finished; all the rough edges have been polished. No burrs or sharp edged to scratch or tear fabrics.

These aren't magnetic, which means they really are stainless steel. I was looking for stainless steel specifically because I'm using a fly fishing magnet to attach my keys to my purse, and these fit the bill. They are very hard to open though, so if you have arthritis or don't need something that sturdy, they may not be for you, but to me that says they're tough and will last a long time. I was able to get them around my car key by starting with sliding a pin through it and then getting progressively larger needle nose pliers in there. They warp if you try to get something real big in there (like a car key), but not enough to have something slip out. If you aren't getting something big in there, just one set of needle nose pliers should do the trick, and they bounce right back into shape.

Rated 4 (not 5) stars because I won't know how good the steel is until it's been exposed to the elements for a while.Second response: After a season exposed to a mid-western spring & summer, these rings are as good as new. They're being used on a Lake Michigan sailboat to support the "man overboard" rigging. Outstanding product! Rating raised to five stars.

I used two of them to replace the standard steel split rings on a trailer break-away emergency brake cable. The standard split rings were rusting from exposure. These are a fantastic replacement with no questions on if they are strong enough or if they will hold up in the weather.

these are very heavy gauge rings. both sizes are somewhat challenging to fit items onto unless you use a screwdriver or some other lever. however, I doubt that these will fail unlike some of the others on Amazon. very pleased

I guess they are ok. I've only had them a few days but I've already gotten 2 requests to review them. How would I know how well they hold up after just a few days? Apparently they want me to review them now anyway. Well, they look very nice but that's all I can say at this point. There ya go

If “jewelry” quality split rings is possible, these fit that description. Highly polished, very smooth with no sharp edges as the ends (at the split). I’m impressed!
