IS THIS WORTH 229? I SAW EVERY YOUTUBER HAS IT…
3 year update! I paid $229 and I still know it was worth every penny. If you need a great sprayer 165$ is a steal. If you’re gonna do serious spraying it’s worth it. I would buy another if mine went. Listen forgetting to charge battery is laziness! You can’t blame company for that! Only issue I had is if spraying to bifen IT to rich (more then 1.5 oz per gallon) could jam it up. Fresh water through lines and I was ready to spray 1 year update: this sprayer is awesome. Spraying pesticides, pre emergent, weed (no round up or non selective.) the sprayer already paid itself off. It’s awesome and fun. If your looking at this you know your stuff and probably deserve this for all the DYI stuff you do! 🤘🏻 Well that definitely depends. If you take care of your own lawn and pesticides then I would say yes. If you plan on spraying only round up or glyphosate on a small area, then no. FYI I would never put either of those in my 105ex ever. Use pumps for that because you don’t wanna cross contamination. I’ve used this once for a pesticide application and it basically paid it self off. I also will be using it for tenacity, fertilizers, and micro nutrients. I hesitated for to long purchasing this because the price. My thinking…well I can just use my 2 gallon dewalt which is a good sprayer and it was like 35$. Well you can’t compare them. It’s like comparing a Volkswagen Bettle to a Lamborghini. They serve very different purposes. The 105ex is going to give a perfectly even PSI application while the pump just can’t do that. Additionally, the 105 is superiorly engineered and a overall better experience. Will it last? That is always a gamble but with tank cleaner and maintenance; I’m convinced it will. If you leave chemicals in it overnight and knock it around well maybe not. I know you saw it on YouTube on every lawn channel and thought well if they use it… and your thinking well I have a pump sprayer and that works. Believe me. Not like this thing…. Buy it if you can afford it. Btw go for the 4 gallon over the 2 gallon. You’ll be sorry you didn’t spend extra money and use the bed of pickup or stair to put it on when full…

Powerful & Long Battery LIfe
This is based on assembly and the first use. Out of the box, the pack is easy to assemble. The only issue I had is the diagram for adding the lithium grease is tiny and not very specific as to where they expect you to add the lubricant. Also, there was some water in the pack due to testing so note that you may get some water dripping out of the handle. There is a small orange cap inside the tank at the very bottom of the tank. Make sure you remove this cap and replace it with they syphon screen tube! The instructions leave this step to the very end and I almost did not replace the cap. I think that step should have been near the front. I'm still working on adjusting the straps for the best fit. I'm not a small dude so it's going to take a while to get my custom fit. Even so, the first spray experience was great. No leaks. The battery did not quit and remained strong throughout my entire spray, Nice! I used an entire 4 gallon tank to apply organic compounds to my lawn and garden. Having not to pump the tank to get pressure is a godsend. I used the brass nozzle that came with the pack and I felt the stream adjustments were perfect. No need to swap out for a different spray nozzle head. I think having some of the connections built with metal parts makes this pack appear more durable and professional. Hopefully this will last a long time. I wanted a backpack sprayer that would not quit on me, that had as many metal connections as possible, and that would feel good to use. Based upon the assembly and my first use, I am happy. If it all goes south, I will definitely comment.

Not worth the price - decent sprayer, poor battery and charger
I have owned this sprayer for just about a year and a half now, making it through two summer seasons with light use. I've only used it maybe 10-12 times in that period. Based on a number of favorable YouTube reviews (many of whom have moved on to other sprayers) I bought it to replace a Field King backpack pump sprayer, because I thought the battery would make a difference in performance and ease of use to cover my ~15k square foot yard. What I've found is that, while the battery does improve ease of use, I didn't notice a huge performance difference in uniformity or width of spray. Also, I found myself often forgetting to charge the battery since I only use it about once a month. Additionally, I found the sprayer very difficult to clean out, with a lot of areas that liquid would catch and require multiple rinses to clear (much more so than other sprayers I've used). Overall, it worked decently well, but nothing to write home about. If I knew what I know now, I would have just stuck with my reliable pump sprayer and saved myself the $240 I spent on this. UPDATE: November 2020 As I was trying to charge the battery recently, the charger gave me an error (flashing red light). I submitted a request through the website, and after no response for a week (!), I emailed customer service. They responded after about a day apparently did not receive the original communication, and asked for a video of the issue. After some back and forth over a few days, I was essentially told that the charger should not be kept outside (it never was) and should not be plugged in continuously, even without the battery. However, this is in direct conflict with the manual, which states "The charger and battery pack can be left connected with the green LED light gowing. The charger will keep the battery pack fresh and fully charged." In the end, I was offered a 30% discount code on a new charger, which means that I have to spend another $33 to get this sprayer to a functional state (which I assume is more than their cost on it). Given this poor service experience, and overall similar performance to pump sprayers, I would avoid this company and this sprayer.

Should've Bought Years Ago
This sprayer is great. Takes out a huge chunk of the work vs the self pump backpacks. My property is hilly terrain so 4 gallons on your back stumbling around is a workout enough but the first couple of 4 gallon applications I never broke a sweat. Very uniform coverage for killing brush. Great reach. I'm also impressed at how high i can spray cleaner on my house. It has cut ladder time and use over 75%. Battery charge expectancy is as advertised in my experience so far. Also, this sprayer is more comfortable to wear compared to anything I've had prior. I know because i use a sprayer way more than the average home owner. There's just nothing bad to say. Some have said cleaning and emptying is a chore but i disagree. That mindset is just a product of how lazy people are these days. Any complaint about that makes me wonder how any gumption was garnered to even use one. Love the product and worth the cost. No remorse. Thanks Sprayers Plus!!!!!

Excellent backpack sprayer
I have been in the landscaping industry for over 20 years and I cannot believe I have not gotten a battery backpack sprayer till now. It’s so easy and convenient to not have to pump. Also, the added bonus of consistency in pressure when doing turf applications is worth it’s weight in money right there. The battery lasts all day and charges quickly. Get yourself some tea jet nozzles, because the nozzles that come with it are less to be desired. My only complaint with it is when filling to the 4 gallon mark it’s very easy to spill and overflow as the 4gal mark is right to the edge of the lid. Other than that I’ve had nothing but good usage out of it.

Great Product But.....
This product works great however it would be really helpful to have a clip of some sort to hold the wand to the tank during storage. Right now the wand and hose dangle all over and will probably get smashed by something.

Good sprayer with a battery holder flaw
This is a good no-nonsense sprayer, but it has one fatal flaw: the battery has a spring clip that should lock into a hole in the sprayer, but I could not get it to easily engage. Many times, I will think the battery is seated properly only to have the sprayer turn off after about walking 20 feet…major pain when you have a full pack. This may have been a fault w/ my particular battery, but I had do do a little "surgery" on the mounting hole with a dremel in order to get the battery to lock in more reliably.

Retired my Solo Sprayers
These sprayers are fantastic. Life on a farm involves regular spraying for weed control. I have really big sprayers and backpacks. Battery life is excellent, the tip control is as good as I have seen in any backpack sprayer and it is brass. I have two, one for roundup, one for selective sprays. Much easier than having to make sure all round up residual is out of the sprayer. I can use as a backpack or sitting in the back of my RTV and spot spraying weeds or along fence lines or combo of both. That's one of the really nice things about it, it can do both on one tank of spray. My solo sprayers have been retired, these are my go to units now.

Awesome 105Ex Sprayer
I used the 105Ex for the first time this morning to spray the apple trees in my moms backyard. I found it easy to load and use a lot easier than trying to calculate the mix rate for the chemical! I used the brass adjustable spray head and it allowed me to adjust from a must to a stream but I will look into a different spray head. I mixed up two gallons turned the unit on and put the 105 on my back. It was a comfortable fit and I hardly noticed the weight. It was great that I didn’t have to climb up and down the ladder to pump up the pressure in the tank like I did with the hand pump model! I did notice that I went through the 2 gallons faster than the hand pump but I put that down to the brass spray head. I am very pleased with this unit and I’m looking forward to using it in a week to apply lime Sulphur to the apple tree. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking to make their spray program easier.

Update after almost 2 years
I needed to spray weed killer on my one acre paddock and couldn't face using my usual hand pump back pack sprayer. So I bought this one and it did the job very well. But initially it leaked from everywhere. After taking it to pieces and reassembling properly it was much better and now I'm very satisfied with it despite the daft cost of it. I cannot imagine it is sturdy enough to last more than two or three seasons though. *UPDATE* Two years has passed since I purchased this sprayer and it has been wonderful each time I used it. However, a few weeks ago, despite the pump running, it stopped delivering any liquid. I tried everything and finally admitted defeat. I wrote to Sprayers plus in America and to my amazement they offered to send me a new replacement free of charge. It duly arrived and once I fitted it, it was working perfectly once again. This is the most incredible customer service and I have no hesitation in recommending both the product and the company.

Brilliant
Wish I had known about this years ago as I struggled with a conventional knapsack which dribbled here then gushed there, no consistency when spraying This battery operated one takes all the hard work away and I can easily spray my large garden on one charge Thoroughly recommend this to all

Didn’t work
Pump runs but even after 15 mins no pressure and no spray. Returned, planned weekends work ruined. Not what I expect for almost £200. Do they not test them before boxing them up?
