Good for the price!
It was good and sturdy for the price. I paid $90 for a new rack. Reading other reviews, I was expecting a few things. It was missing a few miscellaneous nuts and lock washers, and the directions showed the platform upside down, which I noticed before assembling. If it were installed like the directions, the ramp would not have a place to drop into.

Delivers as promised
Bought to transport my 2015 Kymco Super 8 scooter. The ramp is a bit steep, so a 2 person job to board the scooter. Don't forget ratchet straps and soft straps are also required (extra). Some ratchet straps hooks have a double-wide hook, which will not fit in the carrier's drilled out hook holes... so have to go for the lighter weight ratchet straps with a single-wide hook. Since my scooter is only a bit over 200 pounds was a non-issue. I transported my scooter about 50 miles one way to the dealership for warranty work on a mix of country roads and highways without issue. The carrier is quite solid. I did buy a separate sway reducer that bolts on near the 2" connector. Not sure if it was needed, but sway on the carrier was very limited. I took my time with assembly of the carrier, probably 45 minutes. Putting the carrier on and off my Jeep Grand Cherokee with 2" towing package is very easy and quick. I also bought a separate hitch bolt to further improve ease of attaching (better design than the one in the package). The only "flaw" in the carrier design is the ramp on my unit, when screwed down for transport, has a slight gap between it and the center frame, so when going over bumps can make quite a clatter as it bangs of the center frame. I wrapped some thick tape around the center frame where the ramp lays and that issue was solved. All in all, this carrier is exactly what I needed and the very reasonable price was a bonus.

Will not support a motorcycle weighting less than 500 lbs!
First of all it came missing parts. One side of the support bracket for the ramp is missing. As seen in pic #1. the second picture, I have no idea what that is for. The asembly instruction are schetchy at best and they don't even mention what this part is or what it is for! The box tubing on the carrier track is very thin walled. The walls collapsed when mountinig the carrier track with a rachet set and open ended box wrench. After completing assembly, I mounted it on my pickup, figured I could just lock the ramp inside my truck, the carrier was like a seesaw behind my pickup. One side would sag at least 6 to 8 inched lower than the other. I picked up the sagging side and it would just shift and sag at other end. I can only guess what this would do going down the road. My motorcycle weights less than 500 lbs and this is said to hold a bike up to 600 lbs. I'd be concerned about putting anything heavier than a mountain bike on this!

Horrible Instructions but a Great Deal
I upped my review from 4 start to 5 just based on the fact that this carrier is $80 and worked great. I hauled my Honda Elite CH250 scooter (~300 lbs.) camping on it and had no trouble. Took it off when we got there and put it back on before we left and had no issues, takes like 5 mins. It does feel very “light duty” and I was very skeptical of it based on mixed reviews but as long as you put it together right (see below) and strap it down tight, it’s not going to go anywhere. It says it doesn’t come with a hitch pin but it does come with an “anti-sway stabilizer” and the bolt used in that acts exactly like a hitch pin, except it threads into a thing inside the carrier tube when it’s in the hitch to help keep it from swaying and has a sleeve that goes over the bolt and there is a hole for a cotter pin in the end of the bolt, so it is technically a functional hitch pin. My hitch also only has one hole so there’s nowhere to put another pin anyways. It didn’t stop it from swaying completely but it wasn’t out of control or anything. The only caveat is that the included instructions were absolutely horrible. The parts list nor the instructions mentioned anything about flat or lock washers and there were a TON of them. Hopefully you already know enough about hardware to know the correct order they go; unfortunately for me, I didn’t. After doing a little research on google, viewing the assembled picture on here (that actually conflicts the provided instructions), and a little trial and error, I believe I have it together right, although I did end up with 4 big flat washers I didn’t use. I guess if I didn’t get it right it’s just a ~300 lb scooter falling off the back of my truck into traffic, no big deal right?! :/Overall a great value but just know that you had better be pretty handy with the proper application of nuts, bolts and different types of washers or able to research it effectively online (which took me a fair while of reading) if you have any hope of safely assembling this carrier!

Better to Build Off This Carrier
Alright, full disclosure I bought this knowing I'd have to chop it up to be part of a different project. But since it's sort of vague in a lot of the description, know that it's a five piece design. It's pretty easy to put together, most of the holes are drilled straight etc. It's a little bit wonky but it worked. It's 1/8" wall steel, and it's exactly 5" wide between the outer rails. Definitely narrow, works for a dirtbike. The bolts that go through for the rails for rolling your bike across are at a different level than the ends of the carrier where you connect the loading ramp to as well as the middle black support cross bars. It can make it awkward. The loading ramp is SUPER short and unless you have an old Ford Ranger Nissan or Toyota T100 truck that hasn't been lifted and has small tires, you'll need a longer one. Other loading ramps don't usually connect the same way that this one is designed to. The "anti sway" device is weird and only half works. But it's also super cheap, so if you've got access to fabricators or can weld... it's a good platform. Mine was made wider and strengthened with 1" tube, and all sorts of other stuff so it swings out.

It is super resistant and fits very well.
I loved it, it's very durable, everything I needed, I give it a 10/10.
