Miz Mooz Women's Bloom Fashion Boot

This is my first experience with Miz Mooz and I was slightly disappointed. I'm usually between 8.5 and 9 so I got the 8.5 in red.First impressions were good but not stellar -- they're comfortable from the get go without needing to be broken in, which is definitely a plus. I found them to be super loose around the heel and ankle and I am by no means petite (5'7", 170 lbs) so I think it's just the style of the boot. They're also a bit wide in the toe box, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the width of your feet. I tried them with some thick SmartWool socks and they pinched a little bit but it may just be because I'm between sizes. They're perfectly acceptable to be worn with any thickness of tights.The leather looked dusty and distressed when they arrived but I wiped them clean with a damp cloth and later rubbed them down with Dr. Marten Wonder Basalm and the colour seems more vibrant now. The leather soft but very thin and I don't feel like it will hold up well to much wear without a lot of TLC. They're lined with a fuzzy, almost velvet material which is good in keeping up on my leg. Although it says "knee high" it only hits at about 3 inches below my knee.In my head, I thought I was getting a boot with a slight wedge, but it's more like a flat pretending to be a wedge. I put these on after wearing Clarks Indigo Leslie Sharon boots all day and the Miz Mooz Bloom boots felt off balance to me. I rest most of my weight on my heels and it felt strange on my lower back to put these on. I've worn them all day today and they feel fine.I would definitely recommend these because they are cute and comfortable. However, the max I would pay for them is closer to $100 as they are not worth the listed price.

SIZE:I am usually an 8.5/9 in shoes and ordered these in an 8.5. They absolutely fit, but I would order a 9 next time so that I can wear thicker socks with them. Because I can't wear thick socks and because there's not a lot of extra space at the toes, these boots do not keep my feet warm.SHAFT:I first ordered the wide calf so that I could comfortably tuck jeans into them-- that was a big mistake! The wide calf is certainly wide calf and my average-sized calves swam in them. I returned for regular shaft and they are a perfect fit, with and without jeans.COLOR:The red is a very beautiful red that switches between bright red (not a bad bright) and a deep red depending on the light. They appear brighter than normal in the natural light of the attached photos. Don't let that scare you away if you like more muted tones.ETC:The soles are surprisingly slippery! There's not much grip, which surprised me. I remember wearing these on a warm winter day and came across a trail (on a hill) that was completely shaded and covered in packed-down snow (which made it slippery). I took one step on the trail and I would've thought I had ice skates on. The entire ordeal of getting to the bottom of the hill was quite hilarious and I ended up getting down with the help of my husband and a friend, cry-laughing the entire way. I looked like a baby deer wearing the most beautiful red boots.Overall, I'd buy these boots again, just in size 9. And I wouldn't wear these on ice :)

I thought these boots looked unique, and so I bought them, knowing I needed a good quality pair of black boots. They do look a little steampunk, or somehow old fashioned (all the buttons). I like the curve of the slight heel. I wear a 7 in women's boots, and these fit as well as any of those. I have another pair of Miz Mooz boots and I had to go up an entire size, maybe more. These were pretty true to size. They felt a little snug on the top of my foot at the base of my toes when I first tried them on, but I haven't noticed anything like that since. I have worn them several times in the past week since I've had them and what I noticed today is that they seem to be cracking everywhere. I haven't been out in the rain at all, but they look crackled now. Other than that, I am a teacher and usually do about 20,000 steps per day. I have plantar fasciitis and these work out for me. No real pain to speak of. Comfy!

I have been looking at these for a while...being fairly particular about fit and wearing pretty much only Dansko, Merrell, or Keen, I was hesitant to spend $200 without being able to try the fit. For some reason, this listing which only offers size 8 in Black, offered them for $100.I believe these have a slightly more narrow calf than the ones offered elsewhere. This was fine for me; although I'm usually curvy, my calves don't seem to be that big and these fit snugly the first time and then perfectly afterwards. They don't have great support--but these were the first boots I can recall in a very long while which did not require any breaking in period. They just fit right away, no odd tight spots or uncomfortable areas. They aren't the best made boots I own and although I've only had these for a couple of months, I can't imagine they will hold up to long term use. So far, so good though. I would buy another pair of these boots in spite of any problems, as I love the look and feel of them. Many comments from strangers too!

Pictured the Navy boot against a black leather stool. This is my 3rd pair--2nd pair of Navy, because I wore them down over a 3-4 year period. My first pair ever were the Brown ones, which are great too. The brown I purchased in store and they were first edition/season and yes, the quality may have been a touch better because those boots seemed to last a longer. They are so COMFORTABLE and uniquely stylish. This picture was taken immediately after opening the box. NO odd cast/haze/sheen as described by other reviewers. Boots NOT grossly mis-matched as stated by other reviewers. Only slight concern is that the calf on the right is a little looser because the elastic stretch part is less tight than on the left; Manufacturer may have done that on purpose because most people have a slightly larger right calf than left, since we live in a right sided world. I WOULD buy another pair from this seller, and shoe manufacturer.

This is my second pair. I just really love these boot they are very comfortable.

These boots arrived on time and in perfect condition. The only problem was that they are not quite a size 6 and are more like a 5.5. I wanted to return them for a 6.5, but it seemed like a hassle. Luckily they fit my sister who wears size 5.5 and she loves them.

These boots are beautiful and exactly as I expected them. Thank you so much for the quick shipping. I will be enjoying these boots for a long time.
