Present for my nephew
He is a little book worm and he loved it for his experiments!

Works as advertised
The material is durable and has a great texture. The parachute opens up very quickly and slows down the water bottle rocket a lot

Parachute
Good...well made... since Amazon makes you write 300,000 words for a description my thoughts are as follows... i want to use this parachute to go hang gliding...its amazing... its unbelievable... even though Im scared of heights the shear magnitude of this parachute makes me want to climb buildings and then jump off of them using this well made parachute...

The parachute is great and definitely adds a nice touch to the rocket ...
This was purchased for my 3 year old son, along with a 4m water rocket kit. I also picked up a bike pump at our local Wal-Mart equivalent. The parachute is great and definitely adds a nice touch to the rocket launch. It's easy enough for him to help setup, and he loves watching the rocket launch and float back down. Other kids (and parents) love it too and we usually end up with at least 1-2 helpers when we take it to the park (too many trees at home).

High quality, but not necessary
The quality of this parachute was surprising. I didn't expect such a thick nylon canopy with everything sewn together so nicely. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because you don't really need it. We had trouble getting just the right fit with the nosecone so it would 1) stay on during launch, and 2) come loose at the top of the arc. If you can get the nose on *just* tight enough, you get a very nice launch with a beautiful smooth return to earth. However, after a few successful and unsuccessful launches, I think it might be better to forget the parachute, tape the nosecone on, and just let the nose take the impact on landing.

A definite must for water rockets!
Chute worked great and guided the bottle down to a pretty gentle landing. Make sure you have a good nose cap and line things up before launch so the chute doesn’t come out early. If breezy it will cover some distance gliding back down to the ground. Great fun

Good, but improvements needed
Good quality material and construction.Simple design to attach to bottle - works well. Improvement possible in two areas:1. Use lighter materials - string and fabric,2. Rather than a zip tie for the cinch to hold parachute on bottle, use something that can easily be adjusted.Works as advertised!

Great material, sewing need improvement
The parachute preformed well in my 12.5 ounce model rocket, folded nicely, opened quickly after ejection, and brought it down safely. The stitching around the edge could of been done better, but I think it will hold up for a bunch of flights.
