Q: How well does this work on crumbs? I have small kids and the kitchen floor gets a dusting of cracker crumbs daily

A dog works best on crumbs.  I haven't really used it for crumbs, but think it would work. As long as it's not moist or wet.

Q: would someone please post the dimensions sans the mop? i have a bunch of old style mop heads and want to see if it will fit

Without the mop, it measures 14" x 2 1/2"

Q: Does the mop head bend so that you can clean baseboards and corners at the same time?

It does bend but it doesn't do a great job on baseboards when you are also trying to do the floor. You can flip it up on it's side to get baseboards better.
