Product Description This is the one and only, or rather the ultimate DVD from the metal gods themselves! It was recorded at the legendary Brixton Academy show in London in December 2001. The live show track listing features quite a few songs that haven't been played live for quite a while including Turbo Lover and Desert Plains. On top of that, the DVD features tons of behind-the-scenes material, rare footage, interviews, soundcheck footage, and lots more! .com Touring to support their 2001 album Demolition, Judas Priest blow the roof off London's Brixton Academy during a 90-minute performance showing off their current lead singer, Ripper Owens (original vocalist Rob Halford left in 1992 to pursue a solo career). The rest of the band remains intact--the dual guitar attack of Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing, and the powerful rhythm section of bassist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis--but the soul of Priest is the leather-lunged Owens, who leads the quintet through an inspired set, mixing tunes off Demolition and Jugulator (the 1997 album that introduced Owens) with classics like "Breaking the Law," "Living After Midnight," and the finale, "Hell Bent for Leather." Also included are a 20-minute featurette, "Demolition Time," featuring band-member interviews, and 25 minutes of sound-check footage, including versions of songs not part of the actual concert, "The Sentinel" and "Lost & Found." --Kevin Filipski

Metal Legends Deliver The Goods
This is the quintessential Judas Priest Live. The band was flawless. The crowd was psyched. The cinematography is perfect. The quality of the video is amazing. And the sound is crystal clear.Judas Priest continues to deliver the goods. And while the inevitable comparisons between Rob Halford and Tim "Ripper" Owens continue to plague the group this DVD proves to those who have not seen the band live with Owens that this is still the most powerful metal band of all time.Halford is the prototypical, quintessential voice in metal, and continues to be an amazing talent. But Priest is not about Halford. It's about the music. And this band is the vehicle for the magic of heavy metal. It is more of a state of mind. And this DVD captures that live rapture that the musical notes deliver to metal fans.Owens is amazing in his own right and amazingly captures the subtle nuances, intonations, and cadences of the songs flawlessly. His screams are pitch perfect, and at times he sounds eerily reminiscent of Halford. The opening passages of "Electric Eye" and "Turbo Lover" are perfect examples."Desert Plains" is amazing. "Metal Gods" although panned by many during the "Demolition" tour as a weak opening number, is perfect here, setting the stage for a metal fest. And "United" one of the weakest songs on "British Steel" stole this DVD, as the band gave it a nice razor sharp edge that makes anyone want to bang their head.I've seen Priest live about nine times, twice with Owens. And he is amazing as a vocalist. This DVD truly captures the feel and look of this amazing band at their best, which is live, in your face.Joe Duarte, author of "Successful Energy Sector Investing."

Priest is Back
I seen Judas Priest on the Demolition tour and they just blew me away. This DVD is from the tour that I seen earlier in the year and it brought that whole rockn' night back to me. I totally recommend this DVD for Priest fans old and new. KK and Glen still have the magic they always had. Ripping leads thru all of the songs, no one can ever touch them and the can still wear tight black leather and look good rocking in them. Ripper does an awesome job filling in for Halford. There are only a few old Priest tunes in the concert but they keep you banging the whole way. I am not too familiar with alot of their newer material but I am a fan of it now. But not to worry...the sound check part of it has them doing plenty of the old stuff...Ripper does an awesome job especially on "Desert Plains"....any Priest fan that buys this DVD will not be disappointed

FANTASTIC METAL CONCERT !!
This DVD is awesome. I been wanting this for some time and finally found a copy for sale. I have another Judas Priest DVD from a concert in 1982. (I saw that tour in Philadelphia) This newer dvd is from a concert in 2001. (I saw this tour also in Michigan) This was the time when Halford left the band and was replaced by Ripper Owens. Ripper is a fantastic vocalist. He has the same style as Rob Halford has. The rest of the band all being original members is a huge bonus. This show is kick a** heavy metal thru out. The editing was done perfectly also this DVD has extras on it. Interviews with each band member. Also it has the band doing a sound check to an empty house. This includes a handful of songs not played for the audience. All songs played in full. I was very happy with this purchase. I highly recommend this dvd to any Judas Priest fan. You won't regret it. Rock on Metal Lovers!!!! 👍👍

Where is Halford?
I still love Owens a lot. I saw him on stage with Iced Earth and this guy is so amazing. There is so much endurance in his voice. That DVD is excellent. Everything is just in place. It's just something that is missing on the stage...Owens has a too loud heavy voice I think. It is slightly more violent and rough than Halford and it kills a bit the spirit of the songs. But overall the band plays every song the right way. That DVD is a must for a fan. At least for a fan which accepts that Halford isn't there.

STILL THE STRONGEST, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!
Judas priest, really being the first band to have two killer lead guitar player's. I know there was Wishbone Ash and Blue Oyster Cult. But they didn't have the razer sharp edge that the Priest had. Seems the two pivital points a Priest show centers on is Sad Wings Of Destiny and British Steel. Not a problem, because they fill in the space's in between with crankin' power that no one else comes close to.This DVD, LIVE IN LONDON is a great value for not only the cash. It's so well made (sound and visual) that it will be watched 10 to 20 years from now. It's a start to finish show, with no cutting in and out for talking. As other's have said, the added bonus stuff is not only enlightening but very entertaining. Moving from Califorinia to Missouri a few years back, I don't get to see as many "big name" show's like Priest. The DVD has been a Godsend!! Thanks Judas Priest for going the distance to bring the show to me. JUDAS PRIEST like a great wine or woman get's better with age. Keep on rockin' guy's!! The world need's gut's!!P.S. Seems LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT has become to Priest what JOHNNY B. GOODE became to Chuck Berry? Or SATISFACTION did with the Stones? A GREAT SONG THAT SHALL NEVER DIE!!

Rundum genial - blind kaufen !

What's my name...?
Bitte:2. Heading Out To The Highway3. Grinder7. The Sentinel13. The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)14. Beyond The Realms Of Death19. You've Got Another Thing Coming22. The Hellion

Excellent,Worthwhile
I have never seen Judas Priest live so I couldnt wait to see the DVD.I was not dissappointed and neither will you be.Sure it is Ripper Owens and not Rob Halford but they still rock and bang heads with any other metal band out there.Go out and get it and then get Electric Eye and you will have the best of both worlds
