CERRO 210-1002J2 500-Feet 18/2 Thermostat Brown Wire, 500-Foot

I bought this thermostat wire 18/5 because we have a two wire system only (Heating - Boiler) for our three zone thermostats. The plan is to install an Ecobee wifi thermostats which will require a constant power supply. Long story short, this is an excellent wire for thermostat projects. I recommend this product.

I used this for thermostat wires, works fine. It does not have tearing line (like this one  Southwire 64169622 5 Conductor 18/5 Thermostat Wire, 18-Gauge Solid Copper Class 2 Power-Limited Circuit Cable, 50-Feet, Brown  does), so make stripping a little bit harder.

I used this for sprinkler valve controls, worked great. I also needed a small run to repair a 2 wire run to my AC contactor from the furnace, worked great for that too with 5 spare wires.

Ran this out to a distant wall thermostat in our church sanctuary. Over 75' away. Works well with our HVAC.

Does what it is designed to do... carries current from one end of the wire to the other.

Save your $ buy this wire.

Great stuff, but you can get 100 feet at home depot for cheaper price.

ran new wire to update the thermostat

Needed to upgrade my 4-wire thermostat to a 5-wire model that required a C-Wire. Bought a roll of this. Not much else to say about it other than it's thermostat wire. Worked fine for my purpose. I could have picked some at the home depot or wherever locally, but since the thermostat came from Amazon I just threw this on the order to save myself a trip.

Nothing negative to say... Cheaper on Amazon than your typical big box store
