Tasty for my BROL bowl {BROL bowl = Barley (purple), Rye Berries, Oat Groats and Lentils (black)}12-31-19I ordered a two-pack and only received one package! It looks like some effort was made to split a two-pack and wrap it to only send me one package when I paid for TWO! First time ordering this and at this price-plus only receiving half of my order-I doubt I will order again. Bummed.

this barley is easy to cook, and wonderful to eat. it has a rich flavor and is a wonderful addition to any thing. it can be used as a breakfast cereal or as an addition to a soup or as a side dish mixed with veggies. i've always loved barley and i'm glad this is so accessible from Amazon.

Found this barley on Amazon while trying to find an ancient grain, to match one in a restaurant's salad recipe. This barley fit the bill with the texture and mouthfeel desired. Also, the purple hue likely adds anthocyanine antioxidants and fiber to reduce elevated blood sugars for an added plus. Have found that the grain requires 30-35 minutes to cook, contrary to labels recommendation of 20-25 minutes. Multiple reorders and will continue. Only drawback is packaging. The plastic used for bagging is slightly brittle and has a tendency to break before arrival.

Love the color and flavor of this purple barley, wish it were less expensive and in larger quantities. We use this in a bread we bake for our micro bakery.. it’s a great product, but expensive

The quality is very good but the price is too expensive.

This a highly nutritious and flavorful organic food, and it should be a part of everyone's diet. It's naturally low fat and low sodium, and it's loaded with healthy vitamins & minerals. It's also a high fiber food.

I really like this stuff. It is tastier that regular while pearled barley and as a semi I think it still has some of the husk.

This product isn’t available locally. I’ve ordered it several times and I’m always pleased with the quality.
