S'well Men's Fits 9 and 17 Ounce Bottles Sport Cap, Stainless Steel, 9oz/17oz

I love my Swell Water Bottle but the lid is designed to be removed every time you want a drink. This top turns the bottle into a flip top for quick use. I love the convenience and the top fits perfectly. There's no leakage! Five Stars!

I like the “coke bottle” shaped water bottles, but I hated the screw on tops because every time you wanted to take a sip you had to remove the top completely. It was frustrating how many times I dropped the top on the ground and had to find a place to rinse it off.I was surprised when I found this sipping top that DOES NOT HAVE TO BE REMOVED in order to take a sip AND does not leak. I did not have the same brand water bottle as this top, so I hesitated to buy it because the description didn’t make it really clear except to say it would fit MOST 17 ounce water bottle. I have one 17 ounce bottle from Iconiq and another made by Sunwill. I decided to take the plunge and ordered it hoping that it would fit at least one of the two bottles I own.I received the top today and was very happy to see that it fit both of my water bottles and it works just as stated. As long as the blue part is not visible, it does not leak. You might have to put the sip part so the blue section is not visible. I believe that the top has 3 positions so you just have to find the position that is leak proof. It comes in a small box just a little bigger than the top and it was mailed in a bubble envelope, which made the box squished a little, BUT the top does not appear to be damaged. I will check it out tomorrow! On the box in very teenytinny letters DO NOT USE WITH HOT LIQUIDS! I never would have seen it under normal circumstances but I was looking to see where it was made and saw the line and put on my glasses to read it. I am very pleased that it DID fit both my bottles and I can use the bottles with a good top that does not have to be unscrewed every time I want to take a sip! Would recommend this top. So take a chance that as long as you have a 17 ounce “coke bottle” style water bottle this top should fit!

The media could not be loaded. We’ve been using other bottles instead of our Swell bottles when traveling because it’s inconvenient to unscrew a top when driving and other activities. There aren’t acceptable straw top options for these bottles. (Maybe 1 on amazon that doesn’t work well at all). The sports cap solves the problem. We have 2 of them now and although we haven’t had them for too long, there are no leaks at all so far.You have to be sure to close properly. The open position is a push down toward the low (back) end of the cap and it shows a blue stripe that indicates it’s open. The closed position is not flat which is what you’ll tend to do but more of a push down at the high (front) end of the cap. See pics and video.2 limitations of the cap so far. I rec’d an answer for directly from Swell— is that you cannot use the cap with hot drinks.Also I don’t think the cap is insulated as we have found that the *drinks do not stay cold for long with the sports cap*. You trade the convenience of the cap for the temp of the beverage. The original screw cap keeps the drinks cold and the sports cap does not.The sports cap right now is only available for the 17 oz and 9 oz. It doesn’t fit any of the S’ip 15 oz bottles. Also no one makes a silicone boot small enough to fit the 17 oz bottle (only sleeves available).The Swell bottles are high quality bottles that keep drinks hot and cold for long periods but options for tops and protective silicone boots are limited.

I have always loved my Swell bottles for their ability to keep liquids hot or cold but found that it wasn't always convenient to have to unscrew the lid off. This is perfect and mine doesn't leak at all. I have already ordered another one.

S'well has changed their sport cap and they are totally defective. I purchased a sport cap in Nov. 2023 with a new water bottle. See the cap on the left in the pic. It still works fine. I purchased another one Oct. 2024 along with a new water bottle. After a couple weeks, it only opened part way, allowing almost no water to flow. I returned for a replacement, but the new one looks exactly the same. It took a bit longer, but also failed for the same reason. See the cap on the right in the pic. It's either a new design or a new mfr. The blue area looks totally different and the black part above the blue is way bigger. I emailed S'well with the problem re the defective sport caps that Amazon has in stock. I sent them the picture showing the difference and my proof of purchase. They told me to return to Amazon again because they had none in stock. I totally think a new one from Amazon would be the same if I return & replace again. Don't waste your money. If you want a sport cap, pick a different brand. Too bad as I really like the bottle, but their customer service is horrible. I replied they should offer to replace it when they get new ones in stock. If I get any satisfactory follow up from them, I will edit this review. Zero stars for now.

My original cap broke and I saw this one so I was like why not.Had it for about a year and honestly should've returned it when I had the chance. I find that the sports cap really limits the amount of water that can flow out. Most of the time I end up unscrewing the cap entirely.I will say though that flipping the cap open is much easier than unscrewing the whole cap. But I do find difficulty pushing the correct side sometimes. And at which point I completely touched everywhere near the opening where I would drink from - so much for being sanitary.Regarding leakage, I'm always concerned that I left the cap open. Even if the gaskets all work fine, if I left the cap open or if I didn't close it properly, it would be an issue. So I find myself paranoid and constantly checking before and after I put the bottle in my bag. It also feels not safe to just toss the bottle in the bag without ensuring that it's orientation is mostly vertical.So recently I dropped my bottle and it must've landed cap first. The plastic that the cap hinges on broke so the seal is not great anymore. Time to go back to the regular cap
