Little pricey, but good wood!
I have so far tried their 16" pecan & hickory in my 180 gallon offset smoker. Both provided excellent flavor. The flavor of the pecan was amazing but the hickory was way more efficient in my smoker. Will try other flavors but will probably settle on the hickory because it is the best bang for the buck for me.

Not kiln dried properly?
The wood tested at 7% moisture on the ends but I cut them into 1/3 for my smoker and the centers test at 28%.

Surprisingly hot, I loved it. New to the grilling seen
I used it for grilling on top of some old lump charcoal that had become briquette sized and smaller it got hot as f**k this was great cause I'm always trying to lay down 650% degrees but not use too much wood or lump charcoal and I used only a skinny log maybe 3lb total and it easily went to 700 degrees maybe would have kept going had I used a few tricks to get it it higher but it was high enough. Overall awesome just used the left over log with a few scapes pieces from when I chopped all the logs down to fit in my kamado joe and they get to 650 no problem opened there and didnt go any higher because I was hungry lol but I'm sure I could get it to 750 If I wanted no tricks involved. I do use a propane beronzomatic ts 8000 to start it with normal propane and it's always a beast of a flame sometimes fire comes out the chimney. Overall this stuff out burns my super premium mesquite lump charcoal on power but doesn't last quite as long chunk for chunk. Stull very happy and price per lb seems fair if not good cant wait to smoke my wagyu brisket with a mix of this and maple I already have.

BBQ Wood
The product is outstanding, creates great coals, creates wonderful flavor for you BBQ'd food.Delivery was late and condition of the box was horrible. Lucky it was wood and other heavy product would have been damaged.

Great wood for smokers.
This oak wood lights fast, burns hot and long. The piece are consistent in size with no bark on the wood. You my want to split the wood depending on the size of your smoker.

Wet wood and GREAT customer service
UPDATE... After leaving a 3 star review about some wet wood, I come home today to find a box on my steps. Upon further review I realize it’s another box of pecan with a hand written note on it apologizing for the wet wood. Talk about great customer service and I was even asking for anything. Now they get a 5 star review just for this great gesture.Old Review...For the money I would expect all the wood to be dry and seasoned. That was not the case. Most of the wood was seasoned but a few pieces that should have been split were still wet when I split them. Again the wood that was dry worked well. But for supposed kiln dried I expected more.

Service excellent
I had the comment below posted earlier. The owner, Amy, sent me a replacement box at no charge along with a detailed explainiation. Looks like someone may have simply picked the wrong wood in the shipment I received before. It is hickory, is super clean (no dirt, very little bark and perfect sizes) and burns great. So I have revised my rating due to the excellent service following my earlier comment. My original comment is below:So the wood was dry and clean. But it was not the hickory I ordered. I have burned hundreds of hickory fires in my wood burning kitchen fireplace. Hickory has a distinctive, unmistakable wood smoke smell. This did not look like nor did it smell like any hickory I have ever used before. If you are buying this wood for hickory smoked bbq, buy something else.
