This is my new favorite laundry soap
This is my new favorite laundry detergent! It is easy to use, cleans with very little needed and smells amazing! It cleans wonderfully and makes my clothes and linens feel great next to my skin. My dog even loves the way the blankets smell and feel.

Great Idea. Well thought through.
I'm a big fan of Seventh Generation products, and this new idea of theirs is really a great one. This is a super concentrate and it works as advertised. At first, it made me a bit nervous to use the small amount recommended. How can such a small amount of detergent clean all of my clothes, I asked myself. Well, Seventh Generation has figured it out: this small amount cleans just as well as any amount of any laundry soap I have ever used. Also, the EasyDose feature really works! Just turn it upside down, squeeze, and voila!, a perfectly measured amount is dispensed. I appreciate being able to help the environment by using less plastic and less fuel in transport of this smaller bottle. It's also nice that this bottle's footprint is smaller, taking up less shelf space. One note I would give Seventh Generation is that the small bottle tends to fall over and sometimes even shimmy off of our washer from the vibrations of the machine (we keep our detergent on our machine, instead of on a shelf). I would suggest they consider a wider footprint to the bottle. Note: This review is for the Lavender Scent and to me the scent is nice and matches the scent of the formula in the larger (less concentrated) bottles. Useful Tip: Per the instructions, make sure to tip the bottle completely upside down before you squeeze in order to release the correct "dose". If you hold the bottle at an angle, it will keep releasing detergent without stopping.

My new favorite!
I love this laundry soap because it has clean ingredients and it cleans my clothes just as good as any other brand that I’ve tried. I have very sensitive skin and I can’t stand artificial fragrances, so this natural lavender scent is so nice to have. It’s a very light, fresh, natural, plant derived fragrance. My laundry always feels soft and stays smelling good. I have always wanted to try this concentrated bottle, and I’m so happy that I did! I love how compact and mess free it is! No leaking, no messy caps, no heavy or bulky containers, just a cute, compact little squeezer top that stops when you are done squirting the right amount of soap. I’m happy with the amount of detergent that it dispenses for one use, and I’ve never needed more. I was hesitant to try it, but I am so happy I did because I absolutely love it! For the price and the pre measured amount of soap that it dispenses, it is saving me money. I will only be buying this one from now on!

Something changed... And not for the better
It used to be amazing and the new lid design is bad! It used to save so much time and energy because it was the right amount of soap and with the indication that it is ultra concentrated, I felt confident our clothes were getting clean. It was reliable and consistent. In the last several months they have changed the lid design and dispensing is nearly more trouble than it's worth. The ball that controls dispensing consistently doesn't move up or down and you might get a small quarter teaspoon of liquid or you might get several tablespoons (maybe a 1/4 cup?). It is so hard to rely on this that it's almost worth no longer using the EasyDoseand going back to the larger bottles. It's a really disappointing decision that seems to have been made to switch the totally functional and reliable product with something that is inconsistent and unreliable. If the formula hasn't changed then why are we getting more product in the single functional dose? This leads me to believe the new design was also a part of a shrinkflation decision and that the product is actually less concentrated than it used to be so we have to use more detergent. I can't confirm that but it definitely leaves me curious when the dosing seems to be about twice as much detergent as it used to be. I do love this product for sensitive skin, the scent, and feeling a bit better about the products I'm using for laundering clothes and pet products.

Great clean product
This detergent works so well and I appreciate that it is not full of dangerous chemicals. I love the smell- very fresh but subtle. It really only takes a small squeeze for a large load!

White cap, I have TWO! Life goes on while using the best laundry soap on the market.
Great laundry detergent, but the new green caps don't work. UPDATE: I HAVE TWO OF THE OLDER WHITE CAPS! I AM WILLING TO PART WITH ONE; BIDDING STARTS AT $1,000. If you have an old white cap keep it and then carefully reuse it on all new bottles you buy. Keep using the best laundry soap on the market and do so without frustration, again, the white cap won't last long at this price, buy it now and continue to live your best life. If my white cap breaks, I'm moving on for the first time in a decade to a new laundry soap. Why did they not test this cap prior to making it a new and essential part of their packaging? Epic fail.

Value and size
Happy eye located this clean laundry detergent on Amazon. The scent is nice and light and my clothes come out looking really clean. The value for the size is great and so far wonderful on my skin.

Washes well. Dispenser, not so well.
I gave this a 3 because it has so many packaging issues that I probably won't purchase again. I love the concept of auto dispense and using enzymes instead of petro based for cleaning. The price per load is also acceptable and it works in my HE washer. That's the good. The bad is there is no way that I can find to get the bottle turned over and give it a squeeze without it dribbling all over the washer. That is why the bottle is sitting on a dish cloth. I have washed 4 loads out of this bottle and each time, I have to wipe up the mess and then I just throw the cloth in the load to make sure it gets the full dose. Also note that the top is open. I cannot pop it open if I snap it shut and I am no wuss. I had to take it to the kitchen and press down on the edge of the counter to pop it open. I thought it was just because it was new. Nope. Had to do same thing to pry it open on second load so now it just sits there, open. I hope Seven gen reads this and gives feedback and maybe product update.

Detergent
Reading other reviews I was skeptical about the container itself, but with a little common sense you can figure it out. Yes it dribbles when you tip the bottle but when you squeeze immediately it allows the dose to come out and voila, quickly turn back right side up to avoid waste... As for potency, if you have a HE washer, it works great. If I'm doing a deep fill large load, yeah I'll use 2-3 squeezes. I've previously used the regular seventh generation laundry detergent and I'd probably go with the non-concentrated version next time. The smell is gentle, I didn't find it artificial at all, and I've got a sensitivity to strong scents.

lavender fairly natural scent but still a little too strong for some of us
One bottle received. Usually the so called Lavender scents of many products are not even close to Mother Nature's fragrances. As a matter of fact they are often too strong and chemical smelling. Seventh Generation has found a natural scent for their Lavender laundry soap with no chemically smell at all. Some of us are pretty sensitive to it so we are limited in its' use. ( no stars taken off for this ) It does get clothing, bedding, dish cloths and towels quite clean; as clean as most harsher products available. So far we haven't seen any fabric 'wearing' or changes that usually happen with every wash. With the convenient tip and 1 squeeze per load it would be easy to get the 66 loads it says it can handle. Our problem with this is that we often do small loads and squeezing the bottle to expel a lesser amount is pretty awkward and can get messy. We've had to squeeze the full 1-squeeze-amount into a container and portion it out that way. Although it is a minimal inconvenience, it takes away a bit from the original purpose of just 1 squeeze per load. It does however give us a few more loads from the bottle so it balances out in the long run. For us, it weren't for the scent this would be close to perfect. First glance probably makes you think that the high price is too much but even at just 66 loads it works out to less than 50 cents per load. Doing smaller loads will obviously coast less per load. Seventh Generation products are fast becoming a staple in our household. They seem to be cornering the market for continually providing high quality, nature based products with reasonable pricing and a much lesser negative impact on the earth.

Controlled detergent dose every time!
Love the detergent as well as the unique dispensing function. Gets my clothes clean, and the scented versions aren’t overly scented. I like the lavender. Environmental considerations: concentrated so smaller container (60% less plastic, weighs less, takes up less space) and 50% less water to produce; 98% plant based.

Not worth the money
Does the job it's supposed to, but at at a far greater cost than it's worth. Despite my hopes that it would be a true rose scent, in fact it's not. I'm not certain what it smells like exactly - just that I find it nauseating. The easy dosing thing is a neat little gimmick, but that's all it is - seriously, when was the last time you stressed over your laundry detergent's dosage!
