For those of us slogging through El Niño torrents of horizontal rain and high winds, awning weights are absolutely essential to safety and survival. Use playground sand, washed and clean, and put them into Gallon Ziplock Freezer Bags. If you put just over 3 pounds of sand into 4 Ziplocks, to then be slipped into the two chambers of the wrap-around bags, the sand will never leak out and spill into your vehicle, and in the rain, only the nylon of the bag gets wet, but not the sand! Big difference. No wet sand holding a gallon of water to be seeping into your vehicle on your journey home. The nylon sleeve holds almost no rainwater, and dries quickly to avoid mold and mildew. Some people brew their own solutions with PVC pipe and concrete, weightlifting weights and so on. But these stack in the car with minimal space required, don't bang up your interior, function really well when strapped to your awing legs, and seem to last. These are great. They fit my Caravan canopy perfectly. I put little stones into ziplock bags & then stuck them inside so that I didn't have to worry about any of them spilling out & making a mess!

I really like these canvas weights. I put them around the 4 poles holding my canopy and we have had lots of wind thisyear and it holds it down. easy to put rocks or gravel or what ever you want to weight it down and they are easy to putaround the poles. a really good product.

A bit of a pain in the rear to fill the first time but work great. FYI when filling I suggest making sure you are using dry sand so you don't end up with smelly, moldy sandbags down the road.

These were a great deal and they have actually held up quite well so far. I used rocks instead of sand. I was concerned with the sand leaking in my car. The rocks work great. I have seen others tents next to me lift up in high winds or storms and mine stays put.

Have used these for over a year now. I keep them filled in my garage & take them out for events requiring stability over a few days &/or near the ocean (read:VERY windy). The 1st time I used these, I witnessed another vendors canopy w/5# go flying away during set-up! I add my 5# metal wgts. under the sandbags for additional stability. That gives me a total of 30# on each leg.
