Top of the line Water / Liquid Level Indicator- Want to know how much water is left in your Overhead Water Tank? Look no further
I received the product today itself. Found it to be very well made. The indicator enclosure is made of metal sheet and not plastic, and hence, there are no chance of it getting burnt. It will remain cool because of heat transfer. Sufficient open space are provided on the sides so that SMPS / Adapter and the electronics remain cool. The AC wire is of 1.5 meter approx and well built which is a good length to connect to power socket. Five Sensors are provided - four of which are for water indicator and one is common. Sensor Wires are not flimsy - rather are of good quality. I connected it to my Water Tank which is on roof of 4th Floor through Finolex Cat6 Cable 15 meter which I purchased locally for Rs 20 per meter. I had to purchase one Electricity Plastic Box of 4"X3" to create junction box at the top of water tank where I joined all the Sensor Wires with Cat6 Cable through five tubelight connectors and placed .5 meter of extra wire in it for future repairs, if any. Made 1" hole at top of Water Tank and inserted all the connectors. I measured the total height of water at Full Level and found it to be 48" and hence I placed common sensor at 2" from Tank Ground, and other sensors at 12", 24" 36" and 48" from tank ground. Joined all the wires to the IPRO Indicator and found it functioning very well. When the Tank Water is full and touches the sensor at 48" lever, buzzer start, which has sufficient audio volume to be heard within a 25 meter range of home. The Switch given on the Indicator has three level - Buzzer On (indicator on), Indicator Off, and Buzzer Off (indicator on). I choose this Indicator over other models why: - 1. Wifi - triple cost, battery operated, Water tank unit has to be placed either over tank (sunlight damage or inside tank (water vapour damage & very less space inside water tank for such instrument); i doubted its efficiency over a period of time. 2. Fully automatic model to switch on motor - 4.5 time the cost, indicator for only Full Level, if pipe sensor malfunction - you will have burnt motor. Considering the cost involved - the fully automatic model must have at least four sensors to know how much water is left in the tank. 3. I wanted to know how much water is there in my tank so that i can use water appropriately, rather than auto switching the motor pump and not knowing how much water is there in the tank. I thank the Seller in taking care to send me Sensor Wires of appropriate length as per tank height of 1.5 meter as requested by me through Mobile Phone taken from Amazon Customer Car just after placing my Order

Good product but needs proper setup.
Ok, to begin with the product itself Is very useful specially if you are living at the ground floor or the tank is not visually accessible very easily so this can make your life much simpler. Keep in mind a few point before purchasing the product : 1. The main unit is actually small which is good because it looks quite big in the photos. 2. The wires in the sensors are of good quality so there is no issue in splicing the wire you can do it with a sharp knife and the insulation will slice right off. Some of you may think that the sensor will shock you or pass current in the water but its totally safe as its very very low voltage (SENSORS, NOT THE MAIN UNIT). 3. You may need to purchase some additional tools for this to get properly setup.( Like a small screw driver for the screws in the main unit). 4. If you don't make the connection strong they may break and you might think that the product is defective. If the sensor are working in the beginning and all the lights are turning on and later if they don't when you install it in the tank, that only means you made a mistake while installing . So make sure you seal the wire joints ( for extending the sensor) properly before you drop the sensor in your tank. 5. I used a pvc pipe to attach the sensor which I think was not necessary but I am hoping it will make the sensor work longer than average. 6. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT POINT-You may be opting for a cat 5 or cat 6 cable for extending the sensor wires, now the wires inside the cable are not meant for this and they break very very easily if you move them around or bend them a little . So use bullet connectors or any wire jointers for this and save yourself sometime, also it will make sure the wires stay connected and don't break easily. 7 I have two tanks on the terrace and it did not make sense to purchase two sets of main units. So I just bought some extra sensor and attached the main units wire to ethernet rj45 connector (male /female) so I can just switch between the two tanks with a press of a button and check the water level. (You might need a few more tools and little knowledge of how ethernet cables work for this). 8. Test the connection at every step of the setup process. I completed the whole setup and taped everything just to realise that the 75% sensor was not properly connected with the cat cable. Had to undo the whole thing and do it all over again. The setup will take time and patience, it's better you do it yourself rather than asking a electrician or plumber because they won't invest as much time and dedication as you may do and ultimately one or more of your connections may break and they might say its a faulty product. Just installed the product and its working better than I expected. I am hoping it will work for atleast 2 years.

WLI not working
The Water Level Indicator (WLI) worked for a year, with limited use of once per week. Now the buzzer is NOT working. The sound is barely audible. Not a good product. Now the lights for 25%, 50%, 75% are always ON. WASTE OF MONEY AND EFFORTS

VFM product for home!
I completely installed the product myself including all the fitting, and to my suprise, it functioned correctly in the first attempt itself. From overflowing of water causing wastage, to no wastage is actually a feat in itself. I have attached the sensors provided with cat6 lan cable with rubber sealer for joints since the water may cause corrosion in copper, but this will maintain its seal for the next 8 years w/o requiring any maintainence. Notice how I have installed the sensors in a conduit pipe for a clean install. 10/10 for this product for the quality and repairibility.
