AC Safe Pan Tablets - 30 Count: Cleans scum in Drain Pans and Humidifiers

This is my second purchase of these tabs which I use to effectively reduce the musty smell that comes from my two overhead mini-split heat pump heads. Every 10 days or so they start smelling bad when the air flow is slow or they have dried out - active coolers with regular condensation flow do not smell much, only smelly after they have been off overnight or being run without the cooling action. Odor goes away entirely during the winter heating period but returns with moisture condensation during cooling mode.I have not tried other brands which may work better or longer, or may be a waste of money - I chose the US made brand. Shelling out $30 or more for a different brand in a large bottle may save you money, or they may not work as well for you as this brand. Its a gamble.The tabs won't start working until your cooling head is actively dripping condensate onto the tablets, they have to dissolve slowly and flow along the drain trough to work. They are not perfumed. I have never had a clogged drain hose. Place these on the opposite end of the condensate trough from the drain so the active ingredient flows over the odor causing bacteria first.

My splits would clog with the cheap giant container tablets and they always smell. It always gave the cool return an odor.It’s worth extra money not to have condensation overflow drip on the floor. I use 4 tablets per week per split to keep the condensation flowing

These helped a great deal with gunk in the pans of our window units. One of our Ac units started to leak inside the house due to Blockage. These do work but you will need to use multiple depending on how pan and the dirt etc.

Our AC repairman suggested we buy these before he came to service our unit. They are fairly priced and easy to use as he showed us how. They did the trick as it aided in taking away the stinky sock smell the permeated the house when the AC got turned on. I’m glad to have these on hand, so I can properly, easily and affordably maintain my unit.

I thought there's no way these work. But they do, and have for a while now. New units in the past would get muck and black stuff in the styrofoam before I started using these AC-Safe tablets. No joke, there's no such crud in my newer units that I used these tabs with from day one. Amazing. Apparently these make a pretty inhospitable environment for bacteria and other junk, and some of that gets splashed on the styro, keeping it clean. Won't be without these from now on. No more crud on the styrofoam, or plugged up drip pans (caused by bacterial muck) dripping into the house. Kind of a must-have I discovered years too late!

If you don’t want your AC drain line to plug up on 105° day, you can learn how to put them in your own drain lines and pan!I do this every year in the spring and have never had a plugged up condensate drain line ever!

These tabs do the job they're suppose to do, however, they leave a messy blue residue that's difficult to clean.

Needed them for both AC at home. Works A1. Ever since cleaning them and popping those in, AC has never leaked once.

I had a doubt about them, but after the test I can say it is very safety to use it.
