Gateway to Arabic, Book 5

Nice for learners

I use this workbook in conjunction with his YouTube videos and it’s very helpful. I started trying to learn Arabic with Duolingo, but Duo doesn’t explain things the way Dr. Imran does. I appreciate having this to practice and learn.

Great book for a beginner! The author has a series on YouTube that follows the book and is excellent!

This is an easy and well explained way to teach arabic. ..I hope soon I will be able to read and write easy sentences. Thanks Dr. Alawiye.

I knew nothing about Arabic before purchasing this book, but after 4 months I was able to count to 1000 and say every letter of their alphabet, as well as use some basic conversational words and phrases. I learned how to read the language too and feel very confident with the abilities of this book.

I have just received this set of 7 books and I am really excited to study them just glancing through the content I am very impressedI have studied the Madina series and that too is excellent but This series seems to have a lot of vocabulary and instruction in English as wellthe verb charts seem outstanding I am really looking forward to studying them in depthThank you again for sending the complete set

I watched his videos to learn Arabic script so I thought I'd skip the first book. I'm now into this book and enjoying it. There are books out there that teach Arabic from a third party point of view, but this man knows how to teach from a first person point of view and progress his students through vocab and some easy grammar.Now that I can read it, I make my own flashcards on index cards and that gives me something to test myself with vocab. For pronunciation I use Google Translate which gets me there for the most part. However from reading the script you can figure it out yourself, Google is just an assistant in place of a teachers voice in case I may be pronouncing something weird.This book is laid out logically and is great for a beginner that has learned the script by watching his videos on youtube. I'm looking forward to doing the extention book and getting a good base in basic Arabic Vocab. You learn basic household items, animals, colors, fruits and vegetables, transport methods, numbers and singular / plurals. Great for beginners. But remember to learn to read Arabic script first.
