Japanese Plastic Tsukemono Rectangular Press Maker, 2-Liters

I used this to make some sauerkraut and it worked great. You can screw it down to press your cabbage, and it is even spring loaded so it keeps pressing as the brine forms. It is the perfect size to make one quart or less of product at a time. I am going to get another one!

This is very disappointing. Top is difficult to get off. Mine is certainly not easy to snap on and off. Also, doesn't seem the least bit sturdy as I wrestle to open it. .

Good size for me. Only used it one time so far. The screw mechanism isn't as solid as I would like. It's difficult to tell how much to turn the screw. The pressure needs to be spread across the pressure plate not concentrated in the middle.

Once you figured out the lid, it is very easy to use. I have 2 liter size and holds about 3-4 regular cucumbers. Since my husband and I eat small portion of it I now feel that we should have bought smaller one. This size will hold a half of small nappa cabbage. Overall my husband and I love it.

Perfect size for summer cucumbers. Easy to use and clean. Similar products sold in Japan not easy to find in the US. Great for making tsukemono (Japanese pickles).

Arrived with a spider crack in the body, high enough that it doesn't leak. Very disappointing.

Unless you want gallons of oversalted veggies, go for the press that makes smaller batches.

Stuff is nice but have a little broken on the button! So sorry about it
