About a year after purchase, i have to say this is about the best addon i purchased for my camera.Aside from the immense protection provided, the touch is perfect as it was without this guard. Does not cause any extra reflections or such when used outdoors. Fits well, i have not trimmed it as a few other buyers mentioned inspite of which i am able to flip closed the screen if need be. I never do that now though, its always screen outwards & protected :) !!!I've been using my camera extensively in all kinds of environments, some being pretty rough conditions..this protector has definitely helped me here more times than i could mention.A best buy for me this one....strong, reliable & well made product..most useful indeedWell recommended

All screen protectors are NOT the same - this from Maxsimafoto was a pleasant surprise.Firstly, there were two in the package as my Canon 70D has two LCD screens. Secondly, the protectors are made of glass. The main rear display glass fired perfectly with no air bubbles. The protector does not interfere with the touch-screen functionality in any way and it is thin enough to allow the flip-out screen to clip home firmly. The top LCD cover also fitted well initially but, as the LCD itself is slightly curved, the protector glass tends to lift so air bubbles are unavoidable.Aside from that, a thoroughly quality product. so much better than plastic screen protectors.

I specifically paid more for this screen protector as I've purchased a GGS screen protector in the past, for a Nikon D3100. I''m really pleased with the quality of the item - the one I purchased four years ago is still fitted to my Nikon camera and has been amazing at protecting the LCD screen. The screen protectors made by this company are scratch resistant, and shatterproof, aimed to protect the screen if the camera is dropped. The version for the 70D fits really well within the LCD screen boundaries. The touch screen capabilities still work astoundingly well, and the protector is very scratch resistant and made of high quality materials. However, I can't give this item 5 stars as the catch mechanism, to close the swivel screen, doesn't work when you close it screen-down. The material is raised just a little too much for the catch to secure the screen properly. The screen closes, but it won't catch properly any more, and there is some give if you push gently on the back of it. As this product had no reviews yet, I thought I'd let people know in advanced, as it is a heft price tag for a screen protector. If you want high quality materials which will protect your screen from harm, I recommend this company. However, if you usually keep your LCD screen tucked in to the camera and you want it to keep catching properly, then this probably isn't for you.

Had tried many types of protection with varying results from perfect first time to never getting rid of bubbles or specs of dust. Decided to go for a more expensive approach and Wow, a quick clean and it sucks itself onto the viewfinder with a perfect result, and amazingly the touch sensitive screen works as it should.

Perfect fit - as previous reviewer said; the protector's too thick to let the screen close with the screen inwards, but I never fold the screen away, so it's not an issue for me.Dead easy to apply, no bubbles or dust specks.The EOS 70D version also includes a little protector for the top-place screen too.

Easy to fit and blend in well with the camera.
