Exactly that, does the job. My husband and I were living in different states while I finished school. So even though the picture quality wasn't awesome, it was enough to get me by for a few months. Lighting in your room MUST be perfect. Although even when it is the picture seems to change colors from time to time. Not great timing. I had decent internet speed, so I'm pretty sure it was just this poor thing. The microphone is okay, but it doesn't always work well. It's an okay product. If you only have short term plans, it's fine. If you want long term use, don't be a cheap skate.

I have bought other Creative products, most notably the ZEN.As a guy who just wants it to work well, the Creative Live!Cam Notebook Pro is a winner. Easy to install and to set up, plus very good video and audio quality. USB connection.The only concern might be tweaking the lighting for picture quality.Michael

does not work for win 10, all drivers are very old, do not buy.

The camera worked fine, relatively good picture quality, though as with most webcams lighting can be an issue. The only problem I had was that the clip absolutley does not fit an LCD monitor (for a desktop) or at least not mine. It clips onto my laptop just fine, but given that I wanted it for my desktop, it would have been nice if the clip had been made to fit thicker screens. Good buy, but not if you want to clip on to a desktop monitor (even if its a flat panel).

This is the perfect web cam for my wallet. The picture quality was beyond my expectations and it's really easy to use. What more do you need? Thanks!

great product, but it is a little awkward on top of the laptop
