Much better at protecting wood & longer lasting than water based preservatives, and cheaper per litre.Remember to shake the tin a lot to give a strong colour in solution. It flows rapidly so bear that in mind for adjacent surfaces that may be splashed or it may drain on to.Have used it for many years.

I like the colour Holly Green and Red Cedar gives good protection so long as you put the right amount of coats.The only thing you should watch is that it splash’s if you are not careful.

Easy to use. One coat seems to be enough.

Used on raised beds - absorbs well into timber. Given three coats, quite a nice green colour. Only time will tell how effective it is at preventing decay.
