This is a Great item.Just make sure to open the box when you have it up in your attic, as it expands a lot (as expected) due to the nature of the item.A Great solution to protect a vent if its going through a cold area like an attic etc, to prevent the hot steam getting cold and turning back to water before it reaches its final extracion point.

Delivered on time, as per other reviewers don’t open the plastic until vent on loft and positioned close as when it’s released it expands a lot. Fitting is ok, just ease back the outer lining and gently pull back once secured. Previous vent was not insulated and trapped water but this one keeps condensed water to a minimum. Pleased with product

Like many others, we had a big problem with condensation forming before it’s vented outside, causing water to build up in the pipes and run back out through the extractor (completely ruining one fan that needed replacing) and dripping back into the bathroom. Very nasty mould was also forming in the pipes. I got this hoping to at least reduce the issue. But This stuff has completely solved the problem. I’ve checked in the loft over the last few months, and not a drop of water had gathered. Highly recommended, well exceeded my expectations.

The insulated hose is effective at reducing condensation inside the hose, but you need to be careful not to damage the outer skin.When fitting I found it was necessary to secure the inner layer first with a cable tie and then again for the outer insulation skin.It is a bit more tricky than uninsulated tubes but better at removing moisture. My old vent tubes in the attic had filled with water over the years.
