it gets so hot - the outer metal - that we keep burning ourselves. so hot, it is still hot a good hour after use - we turn it off at the mains in between each use as convinced it could catch fire. Really dangerous

Loved the kettle and fabulous colour but disappointed that it comes with a European plug, also I could not find reference to this in the discription so I returned for a refund !!

This is an EU kettle with a 2 pin plug. Not suitable for using in the UK.

well it certainly looks the part, very swish in my kitchen. It looks the biz for sure. No gripes with the styling.Unfortunately after little more than a year it's died. I don't think I filled in the warranty so there will be no joy with that but really should I have to have filled in some form? After only a year? And it's not just me. I can see listings on ebay for these kettles spares or repair so what does that tell you.The on button won't stay down anymore, the kettle just keeps switching off. No idea how to fix it.Smeg, if you're going to charge premium prices for your products you should be using premium parts that don't die a death after such a short space of time. It's not good enough. I am fed up with expensive stuff not lasting anymore.Also I found this kettle to be overly heavy so when I was filling it, it would always seem more full than it actually was so when making drinks for other people I found I never put enough water in.All looks and no substance. That's what I think of this.

Leider wohl besser für Linkshänder geeignet, weil die Füllmengenanzeige nur rechts angebracht ist und ich mit der linken Hand das Wasser einfüllen muss.
