FAN-TAS-TIC
Was able to pull-out and replace 18 heavy (largest=3mm thick double glass set in 30'' x 50'' butyl rubber-aluminum frame) thermal windows with two of these (one as a spare). I even climbed a ladder (carefully) with a thermal window using two of these on the window to better control the 're-entry'.No item breakage whatsoever even if made of plastic. Just follow the instructions. I ended up NOT using the other brands of succion cups I had bought just in case, some of which were expensive, heavy and made of metal with thumb-piston!UPDATE:Having now (saving $$$) changed 26 (twenty-six total) thermal double pane heavy glass windows , squares, rectangles and irregular shaped 4-sided polygons(cathedral ceiling windows) ALL BY MYSELF this fall with 2 HODs, I have full confidence in this product and highly recommend it. The two HODs that I have bought have performed flawlessly. They look cheap but don't be fooled!!! To have one for the left hand and one for the right hand is the best scenario with large windows. It's also some kind of insurance if something would happen (nothing to me). I hesitate very much to lend them to my cousin since I like them so much and don't want to loose them. Irreplaceable! They are so affordable I'll let him buy his own! The largest double window I changed was measuring 72 inches x 30 inches (patio door window-no wood frame), each pane was 4mm thick bound by the aluminum spacer. It was very heavy, still was not a problem to pull window out and carry around to my car for disposal at the dump (foggy window after 35 years-window seal failed). My physical strength was more the limiting factor, not the HOD sturdiness and vacuum, which has NEVER EVER failed me! I have not dropped anything and I am not a professional installer. Was doing this for the first time, 26 windows! Will do the rest next fall.

Good tool, ONE potentially dangerous caveat
It works well. My only complaint is that there are no mechanisms to lock the vacuum-engaging levers, so they can potentially pop back up if they're not held in place, causing the cups to lose their suction. Luckily my hands are big enough that I can hold both levers down easily enough, but others might have a harder time; and since the tool doesn't point out anywhere that these levers should be held down, the user likely won't do so until they discover it's necessary. If they happen to make that discovery while using the tool to carry a piece of furniture or a file cabinet or a piece of glass (all examples from the pictures on the box -- in which the people using the tool are not holding those levers with their hands, by the way), the results could be ugly.

Excellent low-priced suction cup lifter tool...
FastCap HOD-DOUBLE Handle On DemandOur deck has a 1.5" thick, 32" square clear acrylic floor panel that is flush with the decking. That panel lets light through to the basement window below it. To remove that heavy panel for periodic cleaning, I bought two of these HODs. Handle On Demand is actually a pretty good name, because they made lifting the 50 lb. acrylic (plastic) utterly simple. The rubber suction pads left no marks, even on something as scratch-prone as plastic. Each HOD comes in a study cardboard box that can be used to store it when not in use and to keep the tool clean. For the first time, my wife can safely lift the glass table-tops from our living room tables so she can clean underneath.Things to consider:- If you're frequently moving things such as big pieces of plate glass, consider buying professional grade vacuum cups, as they typically have greater capacity than this tool. E.g., do a Google Shopping search on: vacuum cup- This type of vacuum cup tool is designed to lift things with a flat surface. If lifting curved items, such as a car windshield, this isn't the right tool. For examples of the type of tool to use in that case, Google Shopping search on: double swivel vacuum cups- This is the least expensive lifting tool of this type you're likely to find. I.e., professional versions of this tool have much stronger aluminum handles, but are significantly more costly. To see more expensive lifters, search Amazon on: double vacuum cupIf you don't need a heavy-duty lifter, these sturdy HODs are a terrific bargain and work very well.

didn't work for me - I don't recommend for auto windshields
I don't always believe the adage "you get what you pay for" is an absolute rule and applies to EVERYTHING - there are exceptions to this rule. Sometimes the cheaper tool works better then the more expensive alternative. Unfortunately, this suction cup tool (FastCap HOD) falls in the category that "you get what you pay for". I used this item to remove an old auto windshield and suction was lost and I dropped the windshield. Since the windshield was broken already - it was not a huge loss. But the worse thing is that I've lost confidence in this tool and I am scared to lift anything with it. I successfully installed the new windshield with another person's help using no suction cup tools. After my fiasco and I finished the windshield installation - I did my research and it appears that many auto windshield technicians use suction cups from Woods Power Grip (WPG)- a USA based company. WPG tools have a means to indicate when suction is lost - this FastCap HOD tool does not. My failure could have been related to lifting a curved windshield and this FastCap HOD only works well on flat surfaces. But again WPG indicates if their suction cup is intended for flat or curved or both type of surfaces. I did not find a similar recommendation for this FastCap HOD tool. Lastly, my advice is don't believe the 200 pound lifting specification for this FastCap HOD tool - it seems suspicious and rates much higher than the WPG tools when you consider an equivalent suction cup area. For example, using two 6 inch diameter WPG tools - they state you can safely lift a maximum of 140 pounds. This FastCap HOD may be OK for light and flat surfaces and appropriate for something you don't mind dropping. And I discovered that suction cups tools have a psychology component to them - once you suddenly drop something - it is very hard to muster enough courage to try lifting it again. I regret this purchase.

Great tool!
This is a very useful tool! I actually bought TWO of them in order to make lifting large items easier for two people. Great for an extra safety handle in the shower or tub if someone needs it. I have a stubborn casement window at home that is difficult to fully close, and this makes it super-easy. A very versatile and handy tool to have!

Durable. Affordable.
Did what I needed with moving laminate floor (gap was too tight and slightly peaking) I was hitting it with a 3 lb dead blow hammer with a lot of force held up perfectly.

Not as easy as it appears!
I have not used this much yet but I tried it on several of my laminate floor gaps and I was only successful on moving two. It is not as easy as one would think or people say.
